I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the purchase and subsequent issues surrounding a boat I initially purchased on March 17, 2021, from your dealership.Upon arrival to collect the boat, I discovered that it was missing the ski locker, a component clearly included in the original order and sales agreement. Your staff acknowledged the error and advised that I could use the boat in the interim until a replacement a new 2022 model of the same make could be provided. When the replacement boat and motor were delivered, the first outing revealed an issue with the water pump, despite the engine showing 1.5 hours of use which I had not do, indicating prior use before delivery. Your team collected and repaired the boat at no cost.On October 12, 2024, I encountered a more serious issue: the boat would not engage in either forward or reverse. I was informed that due to seasonal workload, the boat could not be inspected until February 2025. Once I delivered the boat to your facility (at my own expense, over a two-hour drive), your team contacted me that the lower unit drive shaft had ********* my surprise, I was informed that the motor on the replacement 2022 boat was remanufactured, not new despite your prior assurances and documentation suggesting I was receiving a brand-new boat and motor. The title confirms this motor was remanufactured. This is particularly concerning as the original 2021 boat came with a new engine and an up-to-7-year *********** no point was I informed that a used or remanufactured engine would be installed in the replacement unit. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, and I believe it constitutes misrepresentation.Following this, I involved my insurance provider, who inspected the engine and concluded that the failure was the result of a factory defect in the drive shaft. When I picked up the boat on May 13, 2025, I found the entire lower drive shaft left in a box on the boat, which is both unprofessional and concerning.
