I had contracted Harveys heating and cooling of **, LLC on O4/13/23 to replace a heat exchanger on my trane HVAC with a promised date of two weeks. He verbally quoted $3400.00. He claimed that he was going to draft a contract and bring it on the 04/17/23. On 04/17/23, he stated that he accidentally left the contract and his girlfriend who is his manager was emailing it to me and deposit of $3000.00 was needed to purchase the materials. Without the repairs to my HVAC unit, my landlord had refused to renew my lease, so I was compelled to give him the check with the promise of receiving the email. Also, since he was working on a couple of hvac units in the area, I trusted him to do the right thing.Even since I gave him the money, it has been one promise after the other, its either the heat exchanger has been bought and was in his garage or he bought the wrong size or the weather was either too cold or hot, just to mention a few. My husband offered to pick up the heat exchanger and when he was ready to fix it, it will be available. He just disappeared and any time he is the neighborhood and sees my car, he runs away. All calls, messages and emails have not been responded to. We have been without heat the whole of this winter and have to use space heaters which **************** is aware of.. He is deliberately trying to keep my money and not do the job. I had called another HVAC, Summit Heating for a quote, but I need the refund to have this company repair my unit.On 02/08/23, I filed a complaint with ******** State Attorney General and he never responded to their letter sent to him nor any messages left.
