    On July 16, 2023 we entered into a home improvement contract with ************************* proprietor of T.J. Construction. The scope of work was an addition and *** improvements for ********** access. The time promised for completion was by Christmas. At the end of February none of the projects had been completed and we had given ***** $156,000.00. When we questioned the billing, ****************** quit work, removed his tools and equipment, and sent us an invoice for an additional $14,066.04. We are left with a house that has no plumbing, a deck with no safety railing, unfinished electrical with exposed wiring, missing *** ********** ramp, and numerous unfinished cosmetic issues. We have never disputed the quality of ********************** work, and were not particularly upset with either the cost or time overrun. His quitting and refusing to discuss any issue with us was a complete shock as we considered him a real friend and blessing to us.
