My refrigerator stop cooling. I purchased it in 2020 so it is fairly new. I found his business on the internet and decided to give it a try. I sent him a text as he requested for you to do. I gave him the make and model of my refrigerator through text. He called me back and informed he would be able to fix the problem. He arrived to my home and told me to unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to see if it would work. I advise it was already unplugged for more than 24 hours, and it needs to be fixed. He directed me to leave it unplugged, and he would be back the next day. Once I gave him a service charge of $50, he then advise to go to the model of the refrigerator's website to see if they could assist. I was confused because he told me he could fix it, and he is fraudulently going around to homes collecting service charges to diagnose and not fixing the appliances. I have tried to contact him several times for three days, and he will not return my phone call. I would like this company to pay me back my $ 50 service charge.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I sent the make and model to the business owner. We spoke on the phone and he assure he could fix the compressor. He waited until I gave him the money to say he couldn't fix the issue. The fridge was not working and was hot during the time he arrived. He informed to wait 24 hours and call him if the refrigerator was still inoperable. He is fraudulently collecting fees, and doesn't have a certification to work on appliances.
