We purchased 17 new windows to be installed in September 2022. After installation there were 13 windows with scratches. The outside casings were not flush, one window had a leak. They came back in November 2022 to replace damaged windows. Only 6 were replaced. The others were damaged. Came back again in December 2022 to replace the last 7 windows. 5 weee done waiting for 2 more. At this appointment the capping on our attic window ripped partially off. This was scheduled to be fixed at this appointment. Man came without ladder couldn’t fix. January 2023 they came back to fix capping on attic window. Didn’t have with them the correct color capping! Was told they would be back next time they’re in area! January 28th more capping from attic window ripped apart and is hanging bent over window. I called company on Jan 30th asking for this job to be finished asap. Was told April 20th for this to be completed! We financed this job and have been making Paton work that’s not complete! Thus company is not a place anyone should do business with. The craftsmanship is horrible! They don’t follow through they just want to make the sales!Business Response

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
At the present time, your service appointment to replace the remaining window sashes and address the exterior trim on the windows is scheduled for the first available date and time. The exterior trim repair requires multiple Installation Managers to be on-site with special equipment, which is the reason a service can not be performed sooner. Power's local installation office is aware of the concerns at the home and of the amount of time between when the concerns were brought to Power's attention and the service date and is working to provide you with an earlier service date. As soon as an earlier service date is available a Power representative will be in contact with you to make alternative arrangements.
Thank you,

I was informed April 20, 2023 for this repair date. NO ONE has mentioned that I would be put on a stand-by or sooner date. NO ONE has returned my phone call. I was asking to speak with a manager regarding this and more and no return phone call. We also have another window that is leaking air very badly! That deep freeze that we had a couple weeks ago the freezing cold air was blowing in through the caulking around that Side living room window. Our kitchen window is still scratched and waiting for replacement. Plus other windows. The capping around our Attic window is just hanging there looking AWFUL! This is the side of our home that everyone can see. After all the money we are spending on these windows and to have our home look like this and STILL the job is NOT finished CORRECTLY! This should have been completed correctly immediately! NOT going on 5 months later and the job is STILL NOT complete! Your response is generic to our situation. September this job done and STILL not done right. How many more times will your company keep coming back until this job is done correctly? Your company does NOT take PRIDE in their work or product. Yes, theres a lifetime warranty with these windows. BUT...this LIFETIME WARRANTY shouldn't be needed at the very beginning. I would really appreciate a return call from someone. ******, a manager there, NEVER returned my phone call. The communication is horrible with your company! I would of NEVER have complained with the BBB if your company handled this correctly.Unfortunately, there is only 2 choices here. ONE to agree or TWO to disagree to this resolution. We NEED these windows fixed so we MUST agree to this. If we financed this through your company we wouldn't pay a dime until this job was correctly completed. We take pride in our home and do our best to maintain it and this is just wrong how your company is handling this.

I bought into their sales pitch that all windows have a full warranty. Didn’t know that could take forever. In march 2022 I reported 4 windows that have leaked the gas, so they are turning yellow to brown. 2 men came to investigate and noticed rain damage on one window sill. I called 4 months later to get an update and was then told it would take 12-15 months. Since then, I reported 4 more windows in August and 2 more in dec. Also in Dec my bathroom window broke and I couldn’t close it. I was given a ridiculous 2 month wait for a repair, meanwhile I had it covered with a blanket in below 20 degrees!! After calling again they sent someone to repair it, 23 days later. **** took a picture of the other windowsill water damage and said he’d report it. Last night’s rain I heard dripping a felt a wet windowsill. It’s gotten worse, I put a towel on it and it was wet throughout. I called Power HRG, and was put on hold over 20 minutes, so called back. When I was told they couldn’t fix the leak and possibly not even repair the sheet rock damage until April 5th!! I asked to speak to a supervisor but she said she could not transfer me. So here I am, contacting BBB. I am so upset. What poor customer service, poor quality, and deceptive promises. I heard they have since gone with a new manufacturer, but no relief for me with poor quality windows and ridiculous warranty wait. Please help.Business Response

The replacement window sash orders for your home were placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for the orders to be completed and delivered. Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to. Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult. It is for these reasons that the orders for the replacement sashes is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Philadelphia. While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.
At the present time your orders are scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Philadelphia later this summer. As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement. If in the event the replacement sashes are available prior to the April 5th service appointment for the leaking window, the replacement sashes will be brought out at the same time that Power addresses the leak. At this time, April 5th is the soonest available appointment, however if an earlier appointment becomes available a representative will be in contact with you to make alternative arrangements. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.
Thank you,

So we used the Power Home Remodeling for placing siding on our home. Since then we have filed to repairs due to the siding falling off our home. We had a service call on Jan 17th and it was cancelled by Power Home Remodeling Service without notice to us. The siding is falling off daily exposing our home to the elements and they gave us a service call for March of 23. This company does not care about the customers after they leave the work site and collet the Money. I would like someone to get them to honor our agreement.Business Response

I was pleased with the initial installation of the windows until they started losing their seal. First replacement went ok. I ordered the second replacement over 1.5 years ago and they still have no idea when I will be getting it. Since #2 was ordered I have had to order 2 more. This appears to be an ongoing problem. Warranty work is horrible. I wish I knew how to get them to do something different. I am concerned they may never get around to it since they keep changing their story. They keep blaming the manufacturer. I'm sure if I had a new order this would no be an issue.Business Response

Completion of the job. Power Windows and Siding met with me in April 2022 I wanted to discuss new window replacements in my mother’s home who had passed in October of 2020. My sister lives on the home and I wanted to provide a comfortable atmosphere for her (heating bills very high). I picked this company because they had done work on my home several years ago with no issues. April was the instillation date for 10 windows . The first day only 6 windows where installed and the window in which the air conditioner had been removed was measured incorrectly. From that day on it had been literally a living **** my sister had to be without air conditioning the entire summer and power windows & siding had no regard towards this issue. They continuously lie about coming out on scheduled appointment dates with no shows I am sick to death of this unprofessionalism and would like the last window capped and the bill decreased by half for pain & suffering. A Power representative was in contact with you on 12/5/2022 to discuss the two window caps that you reported needed to be completed. On 12/29/2022 a Power representative arrived at the home but found no windows that were not capped originally during the window installation however, a tall rear gate was locked and the rear of the home was inaccessible. Since the 12/29 visit, Power has reached out five separate times and received no response. Power also returned to the home on 1/5/2023 and was able to confirm all of the windows that were accessible have been capped.
If you wish to have any remaining concerns with the window installation addressed please reach out to Power's local installation office in Philadelphia at the phone number below and a representative would be happy to assist you.

The Window in my bedroom has a broken seal, the argon gas was released because of this and now there is a green discolor on the glass that is getting more and more on the window every day. In May 2022 when I was speaking with a representative to replace my front windows while he was in my home, I showed him the bedroom window before it was the green discoloration it was a small amount of clear circles on the window. The guy advised that the window needed to be replaces and that an order would be placed to replace that window along with the new order of windows. Come to find out the replacement was not put in into July 2022, when they were actually here replacing my front windows. Every time I call to find out the status of my replacement, I told that it is on back order and I will be contacted once they have the window. This time when I called I was told that I will have to wait 18 months for a replacement due to a back order on the replacement window. If I call to order new windows they will be at my home in less then 2 months. I have never had the flu, let alone a cold and shortly after the window has been turning green and getting worse, I have been sick with a cough that I have had for over a month.Business Response

After purchasing a window from “Power Home Remodeling “, the seal between the two panes of glass broke (in November 2021). I contacted the company in November, and December 2021. When I contacted them in January 2022, they didn’t have any record of my previous calls. I was told a replacement window is ordered and it would take8-10 months. When I called back in September 2022, I was told that it would take 10-12 months. So today I called and was told that it would take 12-16 months. It’s been 14 months since the problem accursed. I feel that I’m just getting the run around from this company. I just want my window replaced as promised in their warranty.Business Response

Hello im a disabled female who recently underwent back surgery. The company power approach me about a consultation. I told them I needed new windows and the said they install ***** windows they sell exclusively and if I signed today for 22 windows it would be $1000. They told me the window they sell has tempered glass, its sound resistant, heat resistant, sealed with some type of gas that allows for perfect visibility etc. lifetime warranty I said fine. I didn't receive any paperwork I signed an **** then the info was uploaded to their website later on. When seeing what they selected it wasn't what I had purchased. I explained I wanted all the same window like the first two we had replaced. When they came back to measure I said if they are not all the same window then I didnt want them. They then talked me out of getting what I thought I purchased (windows with grids) to only two cause they were going to charge me even more. All my neighbors who have ***** have grills between the pane. Then they come to install and only 9 windows say ***** and 13 do not and just have a ***** lock. The 13 cheeper windows they installed dont have what was sold to me and now you cant even see out of it due to it being stained iridescent. This company scammed me out of $22,700 for ***** windows that I didnt receive. First they told me they dont make the windows they just install them. Then they said maybe its due to two different factories making my order and thats just how they made them. Then they said they do make the windows. Then they said its because some have tempered glass and others dont. All a scam to cover up the bait n switch they applied. This company damaged multiple windows during the installation and mislead me into signing for windows I didnt agree to have installed. I looked at the contract online and some how my signature appeared on a completion letter when I never signed a completion and the walk thru was just recently dont this past 1/11 when the widows were installed 11/29. This company is a scamBusiness Response

Power sells and installs windows that are manufactured by ***** out of Power's Long Island office. Power does not and has never manufactured windows, thus the ***** windows that were sold and installed in your home. Nine of the 22 windows were sold and installed with double tempered glass, while the remaining 13 were not. These windows, due to the differences in size and the differences in the insulated glass unit, require a different spacer system. This is why nine of the 22 windows have slightly different appearances than the others. That is a manufacturing necessity as dictated by *****, the company who makes them, not Power. However, all 22 windows were manufactured and delivered by ***** in exact accordance with your contract.

I placed order #**-***** for 6 replacement ********************** on September 10, 2022. The first installation date was October 6. All ********************** came with issues, but the most important problem was the 2 larger **********************. Power Home ********************** mismeasured the window, so the window that was delivered was too small for the area. Power also forgot to replace the window stool, which was part of the contract. Instead of replacing the stool, the installers used caulk on the existing stool and molding to cover the large holes. Caulk is not designed to fill wood holes, so all they did was ruin the old stool.Power did agree to reorder the large window in the correct size, and replace all the issues with the other **********************. However, the communication with Power has been very poor. They canceled my appointments several times without notifying me. They just have me waiting for them until i call them and they inform me the appointment is canceled. At this point, the new larger window has been installed and all the minor issues were fixed. I still have 2 pending issues:1. The window stool and molding are still not installed.2. The garbage from the old window has not been picked up.I have called several times about the garbage. Sometimes I get a call back, sometimes not. Each time they call me back they promise to come pick up the garbage, but they never actually show up.I do have an appointment scheduled for the stool and molding. The appointment is all the way on March 3, 2023. Im not sure why I have to wait so long for this appointment. Based on their history with me of not showing up to appointments and not calling me back, im not sure if they will actually show up on March 3. Anyway, the order is already 3 months over due and i am not waiting another 3 months at this point.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:This isnt really a solution. You simply confirmed what the situation was.
i need two things resolved:
1. the garbage must be removed immediately
2. i want my installation date moved up. this order was never finished and i am tired of the lies from Power Home Remodeling. I need the window stool finished soon. I am not waiting until march. The order is already over due.
I believe this is the last time i will ever order from Power Home Remodeling and I would never recommend them. The customer service is atrocious. I cant believe Power Home Remodeling believes it is acceptable to cancel appointments without alerting the customer. Lie about showing up to pick up the garbage but never actually come. And the delays are ridiculous.

Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
