11/20/2018 - Our previous mattress was a Stearns and Foster ******** and it was defective so we paid an additional ******* for an upgrade thru the warranty ***** and the mattress was delivered in or about January 2019. The upgrade is a Stearns and Foster Model ******. This mattress when laid on has a very big indentation which is causing severe back pain for my husband. On June 13, 2024 Quality furniture came out and took measurements and said that the mattress is distressed and he could not make the decision. The mattress is sloped to one side of the bed. Today June 13, 2024. I get an email that states: It has been determined there are no manufacturing defects present in your mattress at this time. Normal indentations must measure 1 1/2 or greater for quilted and tufted top mattresses to be considered defective. Mile impressions or indications are normal and are not an indication of a structural failure or a manufacturing defect. To help minimize body impression you can rotate your mattress regularly throughout the life of your mattress: This would be all well and good if the mattress wasn't so heavy. The naked eye on these beds does not justify the denial. In order to determine you have to lay in the bed to experience what the customer feels. The break down is inside both the tempur-pedic and the Stearns and Foster. On the Tempur-pedic, after the 100 day trial, if the customer is not happy with it, they are sending out used mattresses that someone has returned and their body impression is in the mattress. This company does not own up to their business practices. They've tried to prevent this filing by transferring me to their escalation team. Who does absolutely nothing. I have request a refund of $150.00 as well on the Tempur-pedic inspection. This complaint is for a Stearns and Foster and Tempur-pedic mattresses.

I purchased the top-of-the-line mattress. After numerous nights of horrible sleep, I reached out to Stearns and Foster customer care. After explaining my situation to the representative, he told me I was 20 days past my exchange. I offered to pay a fee just to get out of this mattress and into one that would suit me better. I was told to buy a mattress topper!!!!!! I responded, after you spend 8K for a mattress, you should not have to buy a topper. For a company that's been in business as long as they have you would think customer service would be top notch after spending the amount of money I did on a horrible mattress.
