    Pontoon rentals at the North star marina...Boat I was given with a 9.9 hp motor was in poor shape...no gauges on the boat worked and the panel with the gauges where only attached with one small screw...No horn, no gas gauge....The dock hands told me before I took the boat out that the trim for the motor did not work.... after getting to my fishing location notice that I could not move the boat due to the trim had lifted the motor out of the water and we could not get it down because the trim button was inoperable. so, we left adrift. until dock personnel could come out and fix the trim device....Personnel arrived and after several attempts to get the motor down manually it would not move. They had to pop the trim button from the throttle with a screwdriver and then the trim device worked ...As operators of the boat, we did nothing wrong, but we lost 45 minutes off or boat fishing trip which we had rented it for 4 hours...It was faulty equipment...Returned to the dock office to get my deposit back the off person said I would not get the refund back until the looked at the damage...I asked them for a 45-minute refund...They said they could not until they did a damage inspection...I again told them that the dock personnel came on the boat and had to use a screwdriver to pull the button out ...but it was like they believed i was not telling the truth...Very poor office response...On the following day I received a call stating that they would give my deposit back, but they could not refund the 45-minute lost...The other stupid item on the boat was they had a red whistle to use in case of trouble...No one in their right mind would put that thing in their month never knowing where it was it was dirty...go elsewhere to have a day at the lake and be very causes of renting a boat from North Star Marina *****, ****** other note I have fished and rented boats in the *** and ****** and never seen boats this bad.
