On 11/17/21 Vince C********** *wner, applied an epoxy base coat and top coat on my cement front porch and was paid $3700. On 2/9/22 I texted him to report cracks in the epoxy top coat. He said he would come to Altoona to check it out. On 4/8/22 I texted him since he never came by to check it out. He said he would do repairs when weather got warmer. On 4/30/22 I texted him to report more cracks appeared. He said I was on his list and he would take of it. On 6/2/22 I texted him to remind him now that the weather was warm. He said I was on his list but don't have a schedule yet. On 8/12/22 I texted him to remind him again. All he said was that I was on his list for repairs. On 10/18/22 I texted him to remind him the weather was changing and to please set a date for the repairs. He never replied to this text. All my texts were politely written.

    Business Response

** ****** has been in contact with me.  I have talked to him numerous times on the phone not just text messages.  I am aware that the porch that we covered has produced some cracks in the concrete.   I've made ** ****** aware that sometimes this does happen and it states in the contract, that ** ****** signed, that any pre or post cracking is not warranted.  Haglee's Epoxy does not warranty as kind of cracking. I made ** ****** aware we would come out and look at the cracking but this would be a courtesy service as it's not warranted as stated above.  The unfortunate part is that Haglee's Home Improvements,  LLC isn't the company that even installed the job.  It was Haglee's Epoxy and Concrete Coatings, LLC.   Not sure how a complaint can be filed against a company that didn't even do the work.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

***** ********** of Haglee's Epoxy is not telling the truth. He has never spoken to me over the phone about the epoxy cracks on my front porch. He never answers his phone and does not return messages. My only contact with him has been through text messages. All of my texts and his replies were listed in my complaint and I have them saved on my phone. He said he would come to check the cracks and would take care of them when the weather warmed up. He never mentioned that this visit would be a courtesy service. He never referred to his contract that cracks were not warranted. Since he completed the job on 11/17/21, he has never made an attempt to check out the cracks or to discuss repairs. When I would text him to remind him of this, all he would say is that he has me on his list, but would never commit to scheduling an appointment. I learned through research that outdoor epoxy should not have been poured this late in the season due to cold weather and as a result premature cracking can occur. I feel I deserve better from him for the $3700 he was paid.

    Regards,
