  I took my car to Doug's garage for repairs. The first 2 times he tried to fix, it failed and i ended up stranded and had to call a tow truck from a long distance. I took it back again and he had the car for 5 weeks and could not fix it. I went to pick it up and it was not on his lot. He had it towed across the street to a church parking lot. He refunded my money because he could not fix it. However, he had the car torn apart and handed me pieces of it to carry across the street. I took the car to him fully assembled and he handed it back in pieces. He said he did the next mechanic a favor because the car was taken apart and ready for him. I took it to an authorized Hyundai dealer and they said that this is untrue. It is much more work for them when the car is in pieces. They have to assess and diagnose the parts he removed and assess any additional damage he may have done in order to guarantee their work. Also, when I went to get my car from the church parking (I do not know how he got it there as it was not drivable and may have damaged it more by moving it.) I found damage to the truck where someone backed into it. He tried to deny any knowledge of it and refused his insurance. He said he would take care of it and only offered that his friend would fix it. I am seeking damages owed for the body damage, motor damage and extended loss of a vehicle due to a dishonest mechanic. All he had to do was look at the car and say it needed taken to the dealer as he could not do it.. Instead he had the car 5 weeks or more. The car sustained body damage to the trunk area on his property. He tore apart the motor and handed it back to me in pieces. This is the most unprofessional, dishonest situation I have ever faced with a mechanic.
