Do you know how to test transmission issues, a test drive also checking the dipstick for burnt fluid smell is an indicator, its almost impossible to catch a transmission thats going if its only showing intermittent signs because you must duplicate the customers complaint and without the proper automotive technology its practically impossible to catch transmission failure the carriage trade knew my vehicle had transmission issues knowing I wouldnt know that until after I purchased the vehicle driving it off their lot, also structural damage, in the state of ************ it literally states that a vehicle with structural damage is deemed unsound and unsafe which is also one of the few things thats covered under arbitration laws so imagine my surprise when a third party mechanic told me a vehicle that I paid over 2000 dollars was structurally unsound and the carriage trade knew about it, they sold me a damaged unsafe vehicle that I purchased for my wife Im so grateful my wife wasnt injured or worse killed due to the carriage trade public auto auction negligence, after I visited the third party mechanic I immediately went back to the carriage trade and I was told it was (as is) and the only thing they can do is run the vehicle back through the auction for someone else to deal with, so consumers beware! This business do not do good business and will take your hard earned money and not care about the position they put their consumers in. I purchased this vehicle in 11/24 it is now 04/25 still no title! I repeat consumers beware!!!

    Hi,
It is important to know Carriage Trade Public Auto Auction is an auction house and does not own the vehicles being sold.  We have no mechanical knowledge of any of the vehicles being offered, nor do we do any inspections on the vehicles before the auction.  Vehicles are sold one of two ways: either "AS-IS" (which includes all faults with a vehicle) or "Green-Light", which affords the customer 24 hours to take the vehicle to their mechanic to make sure it is sound mechanically.  Customers are informed of this and encouraged to look at the vehicles thoroughly before purchasing.  We do run history reports before the auction to see if there are any announcements which should be made.  The vehicle purchased by Mr ******* was sold AS-IS with the announcement, " Auction Announced as Structural."

As for Mr. ****** not receiving his title, we informed him he would need to contact the Pennsylvania *** directly at ************ opt 2 to see about getting a new title.  Our records show we processed the title and registration the night he purchased the vehicle, 11/18/2024 and the *** shows it processed the title on 11/23/24, which means he should have received it in the mail directly from the state shortly after 11/23/24.

We still offer to have Mr. ****** re-sell the vehicle at auction just the way he purchased it, but he would need to get the title before we can reoffer it.  Please let me know if you need any other information.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *******
