    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.



    [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]what they are doing is illegal billing the water coming into my family's home is by meter their is no reason to ad a multiplier just because there is one or more occupant the meter serves as a usage for the residence . to ad a multiplier just because of having 2 address at the same home is crazy. and should be considered illegal. if someone were to have 20 occupants they would bill them 20 x as you can see a water meter reads the usage of water per the building it does not effect anything if more than one occupant. by doing what they are saying and putting it it my family members name only means that they continue to bill illegally the same way they have been doing me for the last 7 years.As they stated i have been for many years now trying to resolve this only to be told that no matter who i complain to they will do nothing to bill the way they should and that is by the amount the meter says we use here. To be billed 242 dollars a month is crazy and unheard of. and to say well if you put the bill in owners name then you wont deal with us because then my other family member will have to deal with being billed by there illegal billing methods. example normal meter uses say 75 well if we do that here they bill is x 2 illegal if there was more than one other occupant it would be x 3 or 4 or whatever they feel they want to extort from you as a resident. so no i do not accept there answer they are just trying to push it off on another family member.and if they continue to not correct this I am going to turn it over to the Pa atty generals office as i have for several years tried ver hard to be patient in this matter however it has gone from a 90 a month bill to 245

    ighbors bill 79 my bill 245 as you can see a huge difference. I was told to go to the town meeting I am disabled with a bad lung condition and unable to go and call them on their illegal methods. a meter reads amount used to say well because you have a bigger home is crazy and to think if it was a multi unit they would bill per unit so that would mean they bill say 25 x a bill usage. I have over paid my bill now for 7 long years which comes out to be well over 8000 dollars more than i should have paid for usage.

    a meter reads actual usage and you cannot say well because 2 familys or more live there we will bill per family beyond meter reading this is just extortion and someone has to stop it and pay me back for years of over paying and correct the billing methods and bill for actual meter usage not an inflated figure. thank you ** ******

    The customer has asked about this many times and each time we explain that he needs to contact to property owner. The house is feeding more than one occupant through one meter. So in this case we have to put a muiltplier on the account as we do for all accounts that have more than one occupant. The account can be put in the property owneres name and then the tenants can pay the landlord.

    Corry water Shut off my water in winter with no previous notice for $20 and then charged me $120 to turn it on leaving me without running water for days no bathroom no drinking water no way to take a shower with no notice on top of that called them for 4 hrs with nobody picking up the phone to turn my water back on crooks

    *** ***** was shut off due to being 70 days past due at the time of shut off. **** **** called in and talked to the water clerk and was told what needed to be paid before getting turned back on and **** **** was fine with the amount. She paid the amount online and the water was restored the next morning. The past due balance needed to be paid before 3/17/2023 it was not so the ten day notice was mailed on 3/18/23 and the amount was still not paid as of 3/29/23 when shut off's started.

    Of coarse she is going to state I was in the wrong... I didn't swear at them I needed until after I was done with work to drop off the payment... I had a client in my chair when she ordered them to come back to shut the water off...  I asked her why I couldn't have a few more hours the same day to pay it as I had no paper notice. She said if I continued then she would send the guys back down. I started talking AGAIN and I got hung up on. I did NOT swear at them. Nice try though. I called back stating I needed til 5 to pay it as I would be done working. The other girl.stated what she said goes and got HUNG UP on AGAIN! When I first originally called I was talked to RUDELY. They stated that a 100.00 extra is applied as they charge that for turn on and off the water here in corry pa. My water was still on! I said that at well that my water was even still on and that there was no reason to have the extra 100.00 added on! She didn't like the response and sent them right back down just to be ignorant. I want this place audited and EVERY single account checked on as I am a firm believer that the bills will not match our actual water usage. I feel we all are overcharged! I am a salon and most resident bills are MORE than my business. I don't appreciate the rudeness they have gave me nor the stress they put me under while I had a client in my chair! I will be getting ahold of a lawyer about the corry water department as they steal from people here in corry and they are stealing money from all residents here. They are privately owned and if I could turn their services off and go through someone else I would! And I'm sure 100s of others would do the same! Bradford residents pay no more than 200 for a single family home for 3 MONTHS!! How is corry so much more?... they state I swore at them... I have 2 clients and my sister that can clearly state that I did not swear at them! So now we have liers working there... hummm that's stating something! 

    I will.not let rude ignorant people who think they are better than everyone else because I don't know nobody in this town treat me like they did! Not for one second! Nor tell LIES and put words in my mouth that I didn't say! I was getting stern and frustrated yes but I did not swear at them!

    hen I got the other lady and she stated what the other girl said was set... then got hung up on again... so it's 1156AM and yup guys just shut it off... what kind of Ignorant prissy people work there. 3 hrs was a bit much to ask for then get threatened if I kept it up that she would send the guys down now. Then get hung up on! Yes I'm unhappy as I never got the physical paper in my hand stating my water had a shut off notice. If I did for the almost 10 years I've been here don't you think I would have paid it? So now stuck with a 100 dollars on top of it just to turn a dang know on or off. I'm so sick of this town and how it's ran because it's unfair to the people here and especially the small businesses. If you know nobody you are a nobody! Something needs to be done about this water company as rates went up again, and shut off notices are not reaching people and then they surprise you! Adding fees and threatening the people is NOT OKAY! LIERS! And not to mention I just got my bill!

    To Whom It May Concern:

    In response to the complaint ID ********our response is as followed.

    The customer called in and was getting rude with the water clerk, the clerk then sent the call to myself (Samantha- Executive Assistant). When I was speaking to the customer she stated that she did not get her 10 day shut off notice as she was already 60 days past the due date. As I was explaining our policy which is if you are 60 days past due by the time the most current due date was over then we send out a 10 day notice. We mail them with plenty of time for customers to either call in and or see if we can do a payment plan. She did not like that answer and was getting louder each time speaking. I told her she would have until 2:30pm that day and she said she wanted until 5pm. I told her the best we can do is the 2:30 as we don’t typically give additional time because it’s already 70 days late by the shut off day. She got very rude and started swearing at me in which I told her our guys would be there shortly to turn it off since she was swearing and becoming ruder. As for the fees the 10 day letter states everything in there as to what they are behind and if it is not paid by the letter due date there would be an additional $50.00 non-payment service fee and if the water is disconnected there is an additional $50.00 turn on fee which are all in the letter and also in the City fee schedule.

    I feel that we tried to go above and beyond what we should have done and that we do not need to be treated and sworn at when we were trying to help.
