This complainant contracted with our company for the preparation of a Basic Information Package Report (BIP) as well as a Preliminary Patentability Search & Opinion (PPSO) report. The BIP report assembles basic information about an invention and the history of its development in a report format. In addition, a Preliminary Patentability Search & Opinion was conducted for the idea by an independent patent attorney with whom we refer our clients’ patent work. The reports for which this complainant contracted were delivered to the address on record. Should this complainant have any questions regarding the Basic Information Package he received, he should contact us directly. We have been working with inventors since **** to submit ideas to companies in an effort to obtain a good faith review.As part of our services, we provided a *********************** wherein we create a scale model representation of the invention made from white ABS plastic or resin material. After sending this inventor her prototype model, we did not receive any indication that she was unsatisfied in any way. Further, we referred her to an outside, independent patent attorney for the preparation and prosecution of a patent application. It is our understanding that the invention is currently patent pending.We make it clear to all of our inventors before contracting for our services that we cant promise or guarantee results. While we empathize with her frustration, we have no control over whether a company has interest or even responds to an invention. All inventions must stand or fall on their own merits. $18,766...PAID IN FULL... for nothing! No invention, no patent, no prototype, not even one of their 100 preferred manufactures called with questions or interest in my invention. I read many of the reviews about InventHelp, before reaching out to them and starting this long process. I didn't recall seeing a review that stating that a client had paid in full-with no results. In January 2019, I decided to invest in my invention by taking funding from my 401k plan to start a payment plan that was handled through *********************** April 2021, I was told by mail from the Invent Help referred *************** **************************** - that my patient request was rejected for the final time; after several submissions.Well, I PAID IN FULL - $18,766 for over three years and if anyone is reading this review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY COMPANIES WITH THE INVENTHELP name on it!Still no invention, nor have I yet to see anything like my invention (not yet anyway)InventHelp

This complainant contracted for our services over three years ago for the assistance in submitting his invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review. Our records indicate that the services were provided in accordance with the contract. Additionally, he contracted for our *************** Services referring him to an independent patent attorney for the preparation and prosecution of a patent application. We prepared a New Product Submission Brochure announcing the availability of the complainants invention. We submitted the complainants New Product Submission Brochure to companies in the InventHelp ********* that have agreed to review our clients inventions in confidence. We followed up with certain of these companies in an attempt to obtain feedback on the invention. Any response we received as a result of our submission efforts was reported to him. We also prepared an Invention Summary and Press Release, which announces the availability of the idea, but does not disclose the working details. The Invention Summary is sent to companies outside the InventHelp *********, and the Press Release is utilized for an online publicity distribution service, where it will be distributed to search engines, journalists, and bloggers. Before any inventor contracts for our services we make it clear that we cant promise or guarantee results. While we understand this complainants disappointment regarding lack of positive interest in his invention, he knew the risks when he purchased our services. Unfortunately, while we empathize with his frustration, we have no control over whether a company has interest in an invention. Furthermore, we also make it clear to each inventor before contracting for patent services that neither InventHelp nor the patent attorney can promise or guarantee that the Patent and **************** will issue a patent and a patent can be denied at any time during the pendency period, which this complainant acknowledged. Today "****" from InventHelp called my phone by mistake. When I told her that "the person she was trying to call doesn't use my phone so please don't call it again" she said, "What a rude *****," then hung up on me. Very unprofessional. They called the wrong number then felt it was their right to cuss at me for asking them not to call again. I see they lost a $3,000,000 class action lawsuit brought by customers-- not exactly a company I want having my phone number. I wouldn't use InventHelp if cussing out people who just happen to answer the phone is their idea of "help."InventHelp

We are in receipt of the above referenced review. Almost 4 years ago, this complainant contracted for a two-year service for the assistance in submitting his invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review. Our records indicate that the services were provided in accordance with the agreement, and in their entirety in November 2021. This complainants claim now, at this late date, that he never received updates regarding his services is simply untrue. In fact, our records show that the complainant was updated every step of the way as evidenced by the correspondence he received. Additionally, we would be more than willing to refer the complainant to another patent attorney and reached out to inform the complainant of this; but was unable to reach them. Beware.... The representative I had my contact with is a slick one. He makes everything sound fantastic. He never actually said I would get my patent after their initial research was completed, but I got that impression with all his slick talking. The initial price was $ 975.00 to get their research teams and Lawyers involved to see if someone else already have a patent on my idea. After some time this rep told me no one else had a patent on my idea. This rep mentioned that to continue the researching to find if any companies that might be interested in my idea would cost $ 11,000 to $15000 more. The rep kept telling me this through the total process of our conversation. I told him from the start and throughout our total conversations I don't have even one thousand dollars after I pay the initial $ 975.00. The rep keep reminding me of this money to continue, to borrow it from a bank etc. I assumed I had the patent after I sent the $ 970.00 and their investigation was completed. Months went by without hearing from him. I finally called him back and he again reminded me about the money to continue. I told him I didn't receive any information about my patent yet. He then stated I didn't have a patent. Sooo basically I paid $ 970.00 for a very impressive package pertaining to my idea ONLY.InventHelp

Our contracts and disclosures, which this complainant signed, as well as our company literature make it very clear that we offer invention submission services in two stages. We have no reason to believe that the complainant was not informed of this fact. Additionally, we do not give patent advice and we rely on the opinion of the independent patent attorneys with whom we refer our clients to give their professional opinion. Any activity and/or questions surrounding the patent or the process should be directed to the patent attorney. Our company upheld our contractual obligations and provided the service for which the complainant contracted. They will consistently drag on the process and it almost seems deliberate on how poorly produced the renderings of inventions are. From the beginning to misquoting the inventor multiple times and dragging out the process in doing so, then it's clear in both their paper brochures and their virtual brochures, they DO NOT reference the patent material - but have some non-engineer artist slap some content together and call it a day. Their reps don't seem to have any understanding of who they will be submitting the patent to, nor do they care. If they can cold mail the information out, they "meet the contractual requirements" per their excuses. Although I don't believe that to be the case. Overall, DO NOT even attempt to use them as you will be better off going through a patent lawyer and marketing your patent yourself.InventHelp

We are in receipt of the above referenced complaint.In December, 2021 this complainant contracted for a two-year service for the assistance in submitting his invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review. Our records indicate that the services are being provided in accordance with the contract. The complainants concerns stem from the belief that his services were delayed, which is simply untrue. This complainant received an invention brochure which included an illustration of his invention and a description of its features and benefits for review; we worked with him on several rounds of revisions to his brochure. Please keep in mind, revisions to invention materials are a common occurrence in this process and we work with each inventor to ensure their revisions are completed in a timely manner. We have had multiple conversations with him regarding his revisions and agreed to send drafts of his revised brochure electronically in order to save time. The complainant approved his revised brochure in April, 2022 and subsequently we proceeded to prepare a Virtual Invention Presentation (***) for the invention. The *** contains 3-D renderings and computer generated animation highlighting the main function or use of her invention and is created based on the invention brochure information, which the complainant approved. After receiving his invention brochure approval, we submitted the complainants invention brochure to companies in the InventHelp ********* that have agreed to review our clients inventions in confidence. We provided him with a confirmation for his records which included the names of the companies for his records. We also followed up with certain of these companies in an effort to obtain feedback on the invention.We attempted to contact him in an attempt to address his concerns; however, we have not received a response.
