I was seen at UPMC on September 7, 2024, where I underwent a CT scan of the chest. I initially presented with severe back pain and dizziness, which has now been identified as related to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) issues in the T2 region of my brain. Unfortunately, this was not addressed during my hospital visit, as the staff informed me that I was fine, failing to evaluate my brain, where the actual issue could have been discovered. Upon entering the emergency room, I clearly communicated my dizziness, which is now particularly concerning given my history of a previous brain bleed. During my visit, the technician who performed my CT scan pushed my wheelchair to the restroom but subsequently left with it. Despite my expressed dizziness, I was not marked as a fall risk and was left to walk from the restroom—located across from room 18—to room 13. This situation posed a significant risk of falling. Additionally, the CT report mentioned the condition of my gallbladder; however, I do not have a gallbladder, raising concerns about the accuracy of the scan. I am also being charged for four medications, yet I only received Zofran during my stay. Given these issues, I request that you rectify this situation as soon as possible. I am not willing to pay for a faulty CT scan, inadequate treatment, or medications that were not administered. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
