I had hired him to do work at both addresses (*** & ***). He dropped off an estimate after asking him several times in January 2022. I agreed to his estimate. We had to call in May/June to see when the work would be done. It was 4 smaller jobs. He responded to my cousin who helps me, that the materials had gone up and it was an extra $317. I was quite upset because a contract is a contract. It was not my fault that he didn’t schedule the work sooner. My cousin helped me with the additional cost. My cousin had to keep reaching out and then he requested half of the amount. When He finally showed up in June, he and his partner were very unprofessional, cursing and throwing things and ugh the weather was quite hot, he was being paid over $3000 for work that in several days, he did not complete. The work was shotty, concrete broken, a step he was supposed to make at *** is open showing bricks on each side and was supposed to be a brick step and concrete is splattered all around it. At ***, he was supposed to build new steps and railings. The Steps are not done correcting and the wood on the steps are not cut properly. The spindles are hanging in mid air and the posts are not positioned correctly. The back porch at the kitchen, he was to install railings with spindles all around and they are uneven, then he broke the concrete when installing the wood post. Finally, he replaced the wood post with my lantern on top and left my double gates to the entrance of my driveway, nailed shut, uneven and he said that he would come back and fix it all in a month or so. Also. All the wood work was to be painted white. My cousin has reached out several times and he said he was starting other jobs and he never contacted us up to this point. I do want some reasonable solution for being treated so unprofessionally and ripped off by Michael (Mike) W****. He also asked for the remainder of the money before the jobs were completed. Customers are supposed to be happy and satisfied, not trying to find some one to redo and complete the work, which was already paid for and which I cannot afford to do.
