I leased a Nissan ********** from this dealer in August of 2021 (when it was Nissan of *****). I put a $500 payment down. We were having some minor electrical issues with the car (radio would shut off, lights would flash on but would turn off when you restart the car, date and time would reset, etc.) but it wasn't super often and I liked the car. So I just ignored them at first. The radio shutting off kept getting worse and happening more frequently (even just hitting a bump would set it off). Sometimes it would shut of for 45 minutes, and when it came back on the date was set back to June 2021. We finally called Nissan to look at the issue in October 2022. They had my car for about 3 weeks and ended up replacing the whole radio/ monitor. Great. Two months later, the radio did the same thing. So, we called Nissan to see what is going on with the electrical system in the car. A manager at the dealer was super rude (we dealt with a ***** and a ********). They told us that they don't make the cars there, they just sell them. He told us to file a claim with the Nissan Co and the car was unfixable. So, I did. My case rep (******) told me a buyout was an option. I wanted to learn more and see what our exact options were because I didn't want to get stuck needing a new car with the crazy interest rates. When my husband called the dealership to ask for an update, he was expressing his frustrations with the whole ordeal and the manager told us to just bring the car back for a buyout. My husband asked about our equity in the vehicle and if we would get any of our money back and Jonathon stated how he was doing us such a favor because we were unhappy. Of course we were! It's crazy to me that they bought back a new car after only trying to fix it once. I also feel I'm entitled to some money back- even if just my $500 down payment. I understand things happen but the customer shouldn't be penalized. The car is already for sale! And they never reported our service to ******!
