Hello. I bought a transmission from Jordan’s Auto parts & had it out in and my mechanics verified days later that it was faulty & that I needed another replacement as it was under warranty for 30 days. On April 29th I broke down & had it towed back to the shop Donald’s Auto Repair. On May 11 the shop was able to start looking at it and determined it needed another transmission. On May 16th after no luck repairing it the owner of Dave’s Auto Repair Don O******, called & left a msg for Dave J***** of Jordan’s Auto parts & to this day 5/24 he has never returned his call. I have called and left messages AT LEAST 10-12 msgs & to this day have not had one call returned. I have call 2-3 times in a row and have them answer the phone and hang up each time. I have all dates and times of each call on my cell phone & can provide this. I have left many voicemails for Dave, I’ve left several voicemails in the parts department and 3 voicemails this week for the sales department manager & not once have my calls been returned. It took all the money I had to buy this transmission for $900 & $800 to have it out in plus additional tow bill to have it towed back to the garage and Donald’s Auto Repair has worked on it and attempted to look at it and fix it for almost 2 weeks the amount of labor I am going to owe him, I literally have no idea how I’m going to pay it. I am a single parent of 4 boys & am I am in desperate need of my truck, I beg you to please help me. Never did I ever think a business could be so untrustworthy as Jordan’s Auto Parts but I plead for your help.

    Business Response

    Ms. ****,

We apologize you are upset with the quality of service you received at Jordan Auto Parts, Inc. We do know you purchased a 2005 Nissan Titan transmission from us and picked it up from our Clarksburg location on April 20, 2023 (Invoice 340631) for a total of $980.50 including tax and core.

Your complaint states that on May 16, 2023, your mechanic began calling Jordan Auto Parts, Inc., but he, along with you, were unable to reach anyone. Your complaint also implied, prior to that, your mechanic verified "days later that it was faulty & that I needed another replacement as it was under warranty for 30 days. On April 29th I broke down" meaning you received two transmissions before your April 29 break down. We only have record of one transmission for you as of the end of April 2023.

Clearly, your messages to us were not ignored and rather went to the appropriate people as Mr. J***** wrote an order for a replacement transmission for you on May 26. This transmission (Invoice ******), worth more than your original, was delivered to Donald's Auto Repair in  on June 2, 2023, a little over two weeks after you say you began to call us.
We offer a parts-only warranty. We were happy to replace the original transmission, but our warranty does not include payment for labor costs.

Thank you for bringing your displeasure to us through a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We are grateful for the opportunity to address your unhappiness in this public forum.

    Sincerely,

    Lisa. *. J
