    Project total - $43,411.70 Final payment made 12/8/2024 My home Project done by ****** ***** and Caliber Roofing has many issues that have been acknowledged by and were agreed to be fixed by Mr ***** on 8/2/2024 during a visit and walk around of my home. I have followed up numerous times, giving ****** plenty of time to have these repairs at least scheduled and / or completed. If he does respond to my numerous requests to have my home finished, he says he will schedule a date to make repairs, but never follows through. My requested outcome in this situation is either the project and issues with it be fixed in a timely manor. The other option would be an agreed upon monetary refund to me, to have the repairs and unfinished work completed by a new contractor *********** is unable to follow through.

    Myself and a ***resentative from CertainTeed completed a walk through of the project to address the concerns by the customer. During the walk through, there were some issues that were noticed and agreed upon to ***air. The rippled pieces of tuxedo colored board and ****** siding shown in the picture are being ***laced with new pieces along with utility trim to keep it from rippling. We originally did not install utility trim as it's typically not required or installed at that area. The CertainTeed *** suggested the installation of utility trim to help keep the panels from rippling due to the cut edge of the panel losing its rigidity. Issue 2, being the siding on the ***** above the garage. Our intention is to remove the siding to see what's causing the issue, ***air the issue if any and reinstall the siding. A box of new smoky gray clapboard siding along with a box of new tuxedo board and ****** siding was ordered to be able to make these ***airs. We also ordered a box of outside corner posts to ***lace the existing due to rippling. The 3rd issue is the door molding paint chipping and cracking. This is a manufacturer warranty issue that is being resolved. A new order was ordered. We are having the manufacturer send an installer to install the new door so everything is documented and under the warranty. We told the customer a few months ago that the ***airs and door install will be taking place once we get into warmer weather so we have optimal weather conditions for installation. This will be taking place in a few weeks. Please contact me with any other questions.     I am rejecting this response because:
    Issues have been accumulating over time. But the first of which was known on the day of install of the door, 10/27/2023 over 18 months ago. Saying that the door will be installed at a later date is an insufficient response as long as this has gone on. Only actual repairs should satisfy this complaint. The door was incorrectly order and needed to be reordered to complete the project. The door trim degrading and being a "warranty issue" is not the true reason for replacement, as the wrong door was installed in the first place. All of this is to say.  I believe this complaint should remain open untill all repairs have been completed based on the amount of time ****** has had to satisfy the issues, and has failed to do so. So far he has only offered the answer of him scheduling to do them at  a later date. Over 18 months on the door, and over 8 months on numerous other issues discussed in person with ****** on 8/2/2024;with siding and trim being installed improperly (too tight), aluminum trim needing redone due to leaking, trex boards needing replaced on stairs due to major warping, siding falling down on top rows due to not being punched with tabs, warping siding in front and side of house. Just to name a few. There may be other issues that have been documented throughout this process.

    Keeping the complaint open until ***airs are complete, is fine. Once the ***airs are complete, I will have the CertainTeed *** on site to document this and to confirm they have been completed to meet their warranty standards. The door installation and any further ***airs or issues with that after install will be channeled through the door supplier/manufacturer. Thank you
