Had a semi get hung up on. A curb. We tried to call a tow company police said they could not wait 45 minutes due to blocking traffic and called this company. They charged 1000$ for a fuel surcharge on 13.6 miles when government printout is currently .40 cents a mile. They charged both rotator and heavy recovery truck fees with a single truck on scene for 12,000$ bill. 600 was a tire and rim, that was reasonable. The company than continues on the phone saying our truck and load will be held ransom until 12,000$ was paid and we were being charged hourly until it was paid in full, no way to contact insurance or anything this fast and charging 10x what the original tow company quoted for a winch out. This has also been filed to the state of Pennsylvania attorney general and state police.

In regards to this complaint, We have explained multiple times where the charges are from and how to understand them. As far as the fuel surcharge, it is 10% of the total invoice. It is factored into every job that we do as fuel prices are beyond our control and constantly changing. The fuel surcharge allowances are not government controlled in this industry.  As far as the invoice, we charged $2250 per hour for our rotator, we had more then 3 hours invested in it and only charged for 3. Most local competition charges excess of $3,200 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours on emergency calls. As far as the second heavy wrecker, we did not use that truck specifically. However, this was not a job that could be completed with a single operator. Therefore, the second operator was called to help. When we get am emergency call we get VERY limited information and don't have much time (20 minutes) to get on scene of the call with all of the proper equipment. We were told this trailer was leaning severely and was impeding 2 traffic lanes and they believe the load shifted. With that information, we sent the operators and units we thought were best needed. When receiving that call, we have 20 minutes to decipher what the dispatcher said and try and understand the situation the best we can, call operators and get equipment on scene. While that second operator is committed to this job, the wrecker they drove is also committed and can not be used elsewhere to generate revenue. We also only charged 2 hours for the second heavy wrecker and operator when there was actually 4 hours invested for that unit.  The cost involved to be able to provide such a service in such a quick time is very expensive. When we get an emergency call we must forfeit everything we are doing and get to that call as fast as possible, that comes at an expense as well as a lot of potential in missing other calls. As our resources and man power is committed to one job, we are not able to assist others in need. We completely understand your frustrations, however we can not control the costs involved. We had several millions of dollars of equipment and very well trained operators on scene. I hope this helps you better understand, if you may have any other questions please feel free to contact us.

They towed my car against my will without me sign any papers and contracts and they try to charge me $2,000 to get it back I told them I didn't have that much money and that everything I owned was inside of the car my clothing my tools my paperwork birth certificate social security cards. They said if I would come down there with the title to my car they would let me get the stuff out of my car. When I arrived there they told me they wanted $500 and the title to my car I informed them I didn't have any money and they refuse to give me my car or my stuff and they were very rude to me

Again, I appreciate your efforts in expressing your feelings. Unfortunately you are unhappy with he way you were treated, and I respect your opinion. However, you're being very dishonest. Please keep in mind when you continue to slander this company, All of our phone calls are recorded as well as the office you were in when you claimed we were rude to you. We were very transparent with our pricing and how the system works multiple times. We stored your car for over 30 days after being contacted by the police to impound your vehicle. It is not our fault you were in jail for the 30 days while we stored your vehicle. We are a business, not a charity. We do not tow and/or store vehicles for free. I did in fact offer you a very good settlement offer. I took the bill from $2,200 all the way down to $500.00.  That is less then 1/4 of the invoice. I do find it very conflicting in your complaint that you stated you "did not have the money" considering one day prior you left me voicemail saying you have $1000.00 you could pay for your car. I could have asked for that, but I requested HALF of what you said you had to be generous. We will not release your car without full payment and proof of ownership at this point. I will not work with you if you chose to continue to slander us with false complaints. If you do not pay for this invoice, we will obtain a title for the vehicle and Penn-dot will come to you to collect the fees, as well as your drivers license should you choose not to pay. Remember throughout that process, your storage fees will continue to increase every single day. The sooner you take care of this, the cheaper and easier it will be. We tired to avoid any of that and explain that to you as you started to get belligerent and storm out of our office in the middle of a conversation. If you chose to stress your feelings, please be HONEST. We have the option to post attachments to this response for the public to see and I have no problem posting the video footage as well as recorded phone calls. Keep in mind, slander is illegal. You should really either remove this complain and your false review, or at lease edit the verbiage with the truth.

C & C towed my car 9/14/22. Informed transmission needed replaced. I got my car back 10/7 after paying the invoice. 10/12 I called, reported issues with the new trans. They scheduled it for 10/17. 10/14 the trans was not working properly, the car ceased working and was smoking, I contacted them to tow to their shop, new trans has a 1 yr warranty. I received various reports of what is wrong. I was told it wasn't under warranty, they tried to charge me for an additional part. I was frustrated with the additional part discussed and questioned if the transmission actually needed replaced if this piece could have been the issue. They could not answer. Told them that I was taking it to a different garage, they told me that I would have to pay for the towing 11/14 and a tow fee they forgot on the original 10/7 invoice. They confirmed they "test drove it" around the parking lot, was drivable but the bill would need to be paid before I could have it. 11/10 I was informed by the warranty co. that they approved the repair to the trans and informed the repair company 11/.8 I spoke with C & C on 11/11, reported that they ordered the part. 11/15 I called C & C for an update and was told the wrong part was ordered, new part would be delivered 11/15 and repaired on 11/16. I have struggled with communication with them from initial contact. I continue to get varying reports and still have no clear expectation for repair date. I also do not feel that the work done has been justified and that they are taking advantage of me. 11/15 the tow bill was brought up again. I have disputed the towing charges since the first one was a mistake on their part (1 mile away) and the second was due to faulty transmission/repair work. This is still not resolved, and they were trying to see if the warranty will cover the tow due to being transmission related. 11/16 I have not heard any update on the repair of my car. They have had my car for a total 8 weeks since 9/14-11/16.
