  2/2023 I received a quote from ***************** of Arbor King Tree Service to cut 3 specific large trees down and shape and elevate trees on the driveway(there are 4 trees on the driveway but he did not state that specifically in the quote) as well as some other smaller trimming and cutting of specific bushes. I communicated that we may request some of the work be done this year and some next year because of the number of items and cost. Because Arbor King Tree Service’s quote came in lower than other companies, I requested our property be scheduled. In the interim I cut some of the smaller bushes down to save $500.00. 11/27/2023 **** **** and 5 men withtrucks and equipment showed up a day earlier than stated to begin work. I wasn’t fully prepared but still allowed the work to be done. **** asked what work I wanted done since we considered waiting to do some of the work quoted until next year. I ended up agreeing to have him complete all the work on the quote except for the bushes I already cut so the bill should have been $500.00 less than the quote. After he finished for the day, he told me in text that he and 5 guys with equipment and trucks were waiting for my return and wouldn’t leave the property until I returned home and paid the bill in full. I asked for an invoice upon return as the amount he told me I owed was over $800.00 more than the quote and I should have saved $500.00. He refused to give me an invoice and showed me on his phone a small quoted picture of work done accusing that I gave verbal approval for “rounding” the trees on the driveway and that there are 4 not 2 trees as he thought. I told him the quote for the driveway trees said “trees plural” and the quoted work is what I requested. Because he and his guys were waiting I wrote a check feeling pressured intimidated and unsure. I tried to resolve it later via phone call and text but he refused. I canceled his next service of removing stumps via texts and emailed a letter per my attorney’s advice.
