We visited the facility on 8/9/23 for my mother ***************************** for her pain issue with right shoulder. This was supposed to be a "No charge No obligation" consultation as the business advertises on TV. We did not know before we went that their so-called treatment was stem cells which is not proven by medical science. So after the consultation we decided not to do any exams or start any treatment. Now the business is trying to charge us $105.80 for the visit. I would like to get this resolved.

    Business Response

Thank you for speaking with me last week. As I mentioned, we could not respond in 10 days as we were out of the office for a week and then coming back we had many patients to attend to before we were able to address this unfortunate situation. ******* ****** was a new patient in our office on 8/9/23 and received a free consultation.  At the end of the consultation our doctor asked if she would like to see one of our medical providers for a medical examination.  The doctor explained to her and ***** that this would be sent to her insurance and that she had a deductible that would apply. ***** **** **** *** ******* agreed to continue and receive the examination.  A copy of her insurance verification with *****'s signature is attached.  The doctor and the signed paperwork fully disclose and explain that the examination will be billed to her insurance. After we billed her insurance and sent her a patient statement (attached) ***** sent us the attached letter stating that he had no idea what the bill was for and that the only thing we did was "weight and blood pressure." As you can see from the attached patient note, she did receive a full patient exam (but not weight and blood pressure).  As they agreed according to their signature, we billed her insurance company and it went toward her deductible as was shown and explained to both ***** and ********  We are obligated by law to collect patient's deductibles.  As you can see, she agreed to the examination and agreed to be billed for the service.  It is her legal obligation to pay Blair Regenerative Medicine her deductible as her insurance has accepted this charge and they have used the $134.98 towards her deductible.  Her balance due to Blair Regenerative Medicine is $105.80.
We would like the BBB to remove any and all negative remarks from her and/or ***** involving Blair Regenerative Medicine as she has clearly received service and her insurance company has accepted this claim for payment.  She is responsible for the first $250 of her medical care according to UHC Global Insurance (**** ********* **************** ** ****** *** *************** Thank you for your attention in this matter.  Please advise.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Thank you for your reply. Reviews on BBB cannot be deleted,
we can only mark them as satisfactorily resolved.

The insurance agreement form Blair Regenerative Medicine sent was given to us for
signing when we just entered your office, i.e. even before we had spoken to any
doctor or nurse. I did ask the receptionist about it and was told that you are collecting
insurance information for future visits if any. We had informed the office that
we were only there for an initial consultation.
The Medical Report you attach is standard questions for any
new doctor visit. You asked questions about surgeries, medications, medical
history and put them in this form.
We were in your office only once (on 8/09/23) and only talked
to the doctor once after signing the forms, getting blood pressure measured and
answering the intake questions. At the end of the visit we spoke to Dr Jenna
Reig who explained the stem cell process, and we left after that.
You advertise “no charge, no obligation initial consultation”,
and now you are trying to charge for our visit since we decided not to go
    through the treatment you offered.
Please do the ethical thing and cancel this charge.

    Regards,
