I hired Uzi Contracting to do a number of small projects. Tie in electrical to panel. The wiring was ran to location and labeled what area it serves. Install recessed lights, install switches and outlets. Finish install of last bottom row of tiles in bathroom, and grout entire bathroom. Sand, prime, and paint bathroom ceiling. Add crown molding in bathroom. His employees destroyed tiles that were $105/each because they did not know how to cut the tiles. His employees grouted the bathroom and the grout dried and now it is unacceptable. I want other homeowners to beware of this company. Do not hire them. They are unprofessional and incompetent. The owner of the business hires young guys that do not have experience and then leaves the site leaving the workers with no guidance. I was told he would be done in two days after starting. It has been five days and is still not complete.

Here are some photos of the work that was completed by myself.   The only time I was off site was purchasing materials for the job.

The customer had hired me to do work and I was training guys who were new to some of the work.  One of the other employees said he know how to cut so I checked him and he seemed fine with cutting.
During a lunch break I went to grab some tile cleaner and as well tile sealer.
When I got back there was a issue with one employee who I sent home.  And in which later I had fired.

Now since the customer maybe unaware contractors normally but enough materials because some maybe broken inside packing materials and or for any issues when making cuts.

I personally corrected the work my self as well have photos of work finished.  I had explained to the customer everything was fine but they took everything way out of proportion.   When I took this job I took it at a extremely low cost to help them.  They gave a sob story about there relative taken the for 31,000.   So I finished the work for 1200 and there’s still a small balance.  In which I don’t care to gather.   Since the moment I walked into the house each thing was wrong.   So in the end I finished the work,  and I also choose not to take any work from the customer.  Even when the work was done right they choose to try to fight and create arguments.

Photos of work completed provided in link.

Every contractor has that one customer who is never happy about anything even when giving the world.  I had spent time making sure they had a shower and bathroom.    Within the first ten minutes of being on the job I wanted to return there money and walk away because of the customer.

Regardless of any corrections I did they made me redo it each time which added to my schedule.

Also with the customer they were not charged anymore money.   And the original time frame was not two days.

Sadly **** is also a construction worker and should as well know that there's always some wasted materials.   Every company I have worked for in the past has always had enough for extra materials.
The customers I had to tell to allow me to work because they would spend as much time to cause me delay with the work.   The customer as well did not have all materials on site for installation.
Which also I had to go to the stores to locate some of the materials needed for the job.   In which the customer said he would purchase what was left out.
From being at there house they seemed to blame others who were there previously for things missing, like lights, tiles, switches, outlets, tools etc.  this is why from the beginning I should have not taken the work.  It showed me they were trouble, but I wanted to help them out and give my best in which it was done.  They had singed off on the work that was completed to there satisfactory.  They had not been charged any more money.  In which was owed 700 dollars.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

#1 I spoke to his employees, NONE of them are experienced. They also expressed he would leave for 6+ hours leaving them with no guidance.

#2 They destroyed $105 tiles, your small amount that you speak of was discounted because of this. They damaged other equipment on the premise.

#3 You hired an outside electrician to finish your scope of work, that you could not finish because you do not know what you're doing. (Whom I hired directly after I got his contact)

#4 Your employees claimed you have not paid them (labor Law violation) the outside electrician says he was not paid either.

#5 Your schedule when you were hired was two days. you took more that eight days. I should have charged you liquidated damages per day.

#6 You were coming to my house at 8PM to work until 11PM UNACCEPTABLE.

#7 You were showing up to my house on Sundays. M-F 8-6PM hours of operation.

#8 I have text messages from you that you were going to show up to finish the work - that is still not completed.

#9 You showed up to my house smelling like Marijuana.

#10 You showed up to do Tile work with NO TILE TOOLS - DO NOT TAKE ON JOBS YOU CANNOT HANDLE.

I should have trusted my gut and wrote out a formal contract, and requested a completion bond from you. Your quality of work is beyond poor, when your employees have to call me and ask me how to cut tiles is unacceptable. You should not be able to perform work as a contractor you do not have the experience. You sob story about family emergency is the reason you have not come back to finish the work, meanwhile you told my site rep you were doing a basement. You will not be paid your remaining balance until you return to complete punch list items.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. IF YOU DO GET HIS COI's AND COMPLETION BONDS FROM HIM JUST IN CASE YOU HAVE TO FIRE HIM, YOU CAN HIRE ANOTHER CONTRACTOR AND HIS BOND WILL PAY FOR IT.

    Regards,
