    I had an ultrasound ordered by physician that was performed at Advanced Imaging Specialists on October 5, 2022. The procedure is covered by insurance and the deductible had been met at the time. Due to an error on the part of Advanced Imaging Specialist billing, the procedure was coded incorrectly and I was billed $548.10 for the procedure. Both myself and my physician's office made multiple attempts to contact them and have the bill under code review, corrected, and resubmitted, but Advanced Imaging Specialists billing did not correct their mistake. The bill is now in collections and I am receiving notices from collections. It was confirmed by both my insurance company and physician's office that this was Advanced Imaging Specialists billing mistake, that they needed to correct their mistake, and resubmit to insurance. I had a follow up procedure performed on January 6, 2023 where I paid them $229.75 towards my deductible. I only owed $70.02 and they applied the remaining $159.73 to the disputed bill from October 5, 2022 without my consent. I asked for documentation regarding this file, and they said they would email me documentation, and never emailed me any documentation. I am now due a refund of $159.73 and they also need to correct their mistake, resubmit the bill to insurance, and resolve my name from collections. I never had a bill sent to collections in my life. However, I do not owe this bill and I cannot get them to correct it. I am reaching out to you as I do not feel I have any other recourse. Both my insurance company and physician's office have also been unsuccessful since Advanced Imaging Specialists billing does not cooperate.
