***************** DBA Northeast Site Contractors was subcontracted by the Pennsylvania American water company to do work on my street. The work lasted for approximately 2.5 months; from the end of November through the end of January. towards the end of their project, my water bill increased significantly over the four months proceeding their work. I had to hire a private plumber which ended up costing me over $25,000. Not to mention, I was charged approximately $4000 in wasted water due to damage to water supply. This issue was brought to this companys attention over a month ago and they have yet to provide any feedback or address the issue. The only correspondence Ive had was between **************************************************** as well as this company insurance company, ******************** Selective insurance first contacted me via US postal mail last week. They claim that they did not have any of the information they were provided. However, travelers insurance, ************, ********************************** emailed me stating that they had sent it back in May. Northeast Site Contractors were negligent while working on my property as well as negligent in properly filing an insurance claim within a timely manner. I am a combat, wounded disabled veteran and literally have no money at this moment due to what *** had to pay for a plumber and water bills that were extremely high due to this. Ive maxed out credit cards and been denied a personal loan. I still owe the plumber over $15,000 and I literally do not have any money to pay them. There are only so many characters allowed for this message, however, I can greatly expand the story if necessary. I have email correspondence, pictures as well as a report from the plumber.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/30/2024

We were unable to respond sooner as we were waiting for our insurance carrier to complete their investigation into this incident. Northeast Site Contractors performs regular  maintenance and emergency repair work for PA American Water. All of the work we perform is done to the specifications of PA American Water. In this case, one of our crews  installed a meter pit close to the road that services this address. Our work was completed in March of 2023. The "repair" work performed by the plumber hired on behalf of the owner, was performed in April of 2024. While we are sympathetic to the homeowner's concerns, there is nothing that would connect the work we performed to the repairs done over a year later. The water bills supplied by the homeowner show that water usage was "normal" for 10 months following the date of our work. Please see the attached correspondence from ******************* regarding the denial of the claim.
