I was given two gift certificates for the Sugar Rose Bake shop. Her current address is not listed correctly here with the Better Business Bureau. She moved her business from Red Lion to York, but it is the same business. I went in with the certificates a few weeks ago to buy sandwiches and pre-order some hot cocoa bombs. She told me I was only allowed to use my certificates for items in the case. So I came back a few weeks later and started to order things out of the case. As she was putting my sugar cookies in their boxes, she said that I looked familiar and she hoped I wasnt going to try to pay for these cookies with certificates. I informed her that I was going to pay for most of it with gift certificates. She told me I could not use them on the sugar cookies from the case because they took her too long to make. I then asked her what else qualified and she said anything else. I said, OK well I guess just box up whatever you feel qualifies for my gift certificates. She then angrily threw her hands in the air and yelled at me. Ive changed my mind, I will not be serving you at all! I no longer take those gifts certificates! Please leave my store! I was with a special-needs adult at the time who startles easily so I said quietly this isnt fair and I left the store. I was not able to use the gift certificates I had been gifted. After reading some of her reviews online it seems that she does not accept the gift certificates from Sweet deals or from local flavors even though those are companies she signed up to work with. Now my friend is out the $50 that he paid for the gift certificates.
