Called shop on multiple occasions to find out the status of my vehicle that was told to me by the owner to drop off and the work would be completed, I asked to make sure that he would be able to finish the job, he assured me he would this was 2 weeks ago. I drove the car to shop and waited with the vehicle for 5hours the first time when the first job was done he told me that I would need to come back so he could take care of the other the issue in which I asked again are you sure you would be able to take care of it his response was yes I asked for a price at that time he did not share that information with me, he said he would let me know when I come back with the vehicle. I called him the owner o. Saturday 08/17/2024 to let the owner know I would be dropping the vehicle off so he can start the work on it, his response was ok. When I arrived at the shop there multiples cars everywhere I got out my vehicle to ask him what would he like for me to do with my car I was advised to park it further back out of the way in which I did when I was done I tried to secure the box with the part and closed up the car just in case anyone would notice any items in the vehicle I put the key into the gas tank a d left with my family in another vehicle that was driven there. It was a Saturday so I gave the owner some time to hope fully get the work done on the vehicle so I reached out on the Tuesday 08/20/2024 I was able to get in contact with the owner I asked him about the vehicle in which his response was I couldn't find the key so the car wasnt touched

    Business Response

    Date: 09/09/2024

I will begin by saying, I strongly Believe BBB is barely relevant in today's society- nevertheless I will not allow a misunderstanding tarnish my 20 years in the Automotive Repair Business.  The complainant brought the vehicle (2008 Saturn) for State Inspection.  Vehicle Failed because it needed ************, and Resonator.  Complainant said he brought his own parts (which were the wrong parts by the way) and I explained I cannot give warranty on parts I did not commercially purchase. Before he showed up I had several customer's ahead of him and he thinks I will stop servicing them just for him, that is not fair to the customers who were there first.   He proceeds to leave vehicle without my knowledge- without leaving the key for the vehicle, parked blocking the other businesses driveway----- without leaving his phone number at the office. He sent several messages (whom some, not all, are attached) and the messages speak for themselves and his demeanor -rude and demanding. Not once was I disrespectful or unproffesional towards him.  He showed up days later, asking if the vehicle was finished and I explained I had no way to access it and no way to reach him.  He takes vehicle, gets it fixed somewhere else and came back for Inspection knowing he can take it anywhere he chooses----he chose to come back to my Business.  If he wasn't satisfied, why return? BBB- thank you for the 30 minute response time. Have a great day.
