     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I have asked ***** to come out to my property and look at the work his team did. He continues to ignore countless emails, phone calls, and text messages for weeks. We are continuing to pay $200 a month to have a pod in our driveway storing our belonging from the basement waiting for a response from him to finish the work that wasn't completed per the contract. Then we will be seeking damages for the unleveled floor in several spots because their team did an inadequate job leveling the floor in multiple spots where they poured concrete/used floor leveler. They have done more damage than good to our basement and demanded the money up front before the work was completed which was NOT part of the contract. If were paid in full before the work was done because your employee refused to leave until he was paid. We look forward to ***** coming to our property to look at the scope of the work, writing up a proposal to fix the inadequate work that was done on the trim, painting, floor, and jambs. We even have a lockbox on the door and can provide ***** the code so he can look at the basement anytime, 24/7/365 and can pass along to his team what needs to be finished properly. When the work is complete per the contract, then we will be happy. Until then, this issue is unresolved, and this business can not be trusted to do renovation work in the Lehigh Valley.

    Regards,

    ***********************

king bumps in the trim that look terrible. The trim leading through the doorway is crooked and looks stupid. The door jambs they cut were not painted to match the rest of the trim per the contract. They left our sofa and other heavy belongings that were supposed to be put back in place in a giant pile. They took apart multiple shelves and left them sitting on the floor instead of putting them back in place. They hand-cut 3 openings for the plumber for the clean outs that look terrible because they didn't have the proper tools to do the job and just wanted to get it done without coming back out or paying someone who could do it properly. We have contacted them multiple times and they continue to make excuses and ignore us. We are seeking a refund of the labor costs so we can bring in a new contractor to fix all their mistakes. We still have a storage bin in our driveway waiting for them to respond to us because our basement can't be used until they fix these multiple issues.

    To whom it may concern:

************************* met with ******************************* at the house and went over the job with her (NOT ***********************) and she did sign the contract agreement to the Scope of Work that was agreed on.

NO sub-floor was included in our contract at all and never had been discussed.

After cleaning up the basement we found some uneven levels in some areas and we suggested to install a couple of bags of leveler to smooth out the transitions on the floor level (total charge was $450 labor and materials) from the amount of $450 you can understand that the level job was as patch only.

If our painter missed some trim paint we will be glad to go back and fix it.

Another touch up paint for the jambs can be done also.

All heavy furniture was moved by the restoration company and we agreed to move them around as needed to finish the job.

We can reset the three shelves back.

The cuts for plumbing access were covered and not seen under the freezer as agreed with the customer.

At the bottom line, we have been working hard for the last 20 years to keep our relationships with our community and clients on the best level.

We won’t walk out from the job at all until we get a last payment which was approval that the job was at the customer’s satisfaction and that is marked in our contract and that is what happened.

After all, we can send our carpenter and painter for a day’s work to wrap up the items requested by the owner.

    Respectfully,
    *************************

*************************, the owner of the company, met with the owner of the house, *******************************, on 12/8/22, at the property and got a Scope of Work for her according to that visit. We did write up a contract and it was signed by her on 1/5/23

Our meeting did include the conversation of a possibility for unseen problems (which would show after cleaning the space) - which we then found out that the floor was not perfectly level for a floating PVC Luxury Vinyl.

At that time, our Project Manager wrote a Change Order (which was very self explanatory for the quality and volume of work we promised to do - only small patch and repair) and the owner, *************; GAMBLER was informed that we were NOT going to create a sub-floor (old style work - not recommended in our application any more) which would create an open space between existing door jambs and new floor at lower level at the floor. We did issue another Change Order for repair only (not change the whole jambs and new door).

On our end, we did complete the contract and we offered to go back and haul/empty the pod and go over the touch up paint and any trim repair requested by ***********************. He then refused and is asking to redo the floor.

The last payment was paid confirming our job was done as per the contract. The last payment was paid by credit card, so there wasn't anyone there refusing to leave until they received payment as stated in the complaint by ***********************. Payments were made as the job progressed. Please see attached payment schedule and the payments that were made.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I asked ***** to come out and look at the work his company did and write up the proposal to finish our project per the agreement. The concrete leveler used was over-poured and there's a bump in the floor where his company filled in a hole. That wasn't an issue with the floor until his company did their change order work (Which neither of us signed additional paperwork to have done that would have stated they were going to pour concrete to make ramps/bumps in the floor) I want ***** to come to my house, view the work that was done that he says is "Complete" per the contract, and then write up his proposal for painting and repairing the areas that were neglected by his company. The people who recommended ******* business also had him come out to do additional work for them and said that **** has been lying to them, trying to get paid up front before work is finished, and would rather get finished as fast as possible than provide a quality service. It appears these issues are all recent, and I hope people going forward don't have to deal with months of run arounds and lies from **** about what work is going to be done.

So, I am asking for about the 20th time as my insurance company is still paying for the pod outside my house filled with items, for ***** to come to the house and write up a contract that states what his company is going to fix when I let them into my basement again. I've been told by another contractor that the floor could be pulled up in that spot and that a concrete grinder can be used to level the spot where concrete was over-poured. I don't want his company to come to my house and do any more work until there's a written contract by ***** that gets signed by all parties about what he's fixing. He refuses to even look at the work his company did despite being 10 minutes away from our house. I gave him the lockbox combo and said he could walk in when nobody is around to look at the work and he's uninterested in looking at it.

    Regards,

    ***********************

As we have said in our previous answers to this complaint. The facts speak for themselves. Mostly, *********************** is NOT our client. He was not present when ************************* was there and had the discussion about the work to be done before signing the contract. Other discussions were had with **** our project manager and *******************************. The contract was signed by ******************************* and all the payments were made on time including the last one. Then is the time to address these issues, - before the last payment. I have sent in prior responses, all of the paperwork showing the progression of payments made as the work progressed and also the signed contract.
