  I have used Century for decades, recently I needed a new roof, and they were my first choice, based on their prior work, customer service and reputation. The estimate came in higher than other roofers, but the estimator reassured me that they have their own crews and employees that are background checked and drug tested and made it a point to drive home the stability and accountability I get by using Century Roofing crews. Well surprise surprise... Century sub-contracted out my job. I contacted ****, the manager and he told me they sub-contract out all their roofing jobs! When I started to express my dissatisfaction with that practice and how it seems misleading as I contracted for a "Century" roofing crew not some unknown sub-contractor, **** immediately became antagonistic and aggressive trying to paint me as a racist! Going on about how he knows the guys and spends personal time with them? I could care less about the genetics of the roofers, I was angry about being lied to about my job being sub-contracted, if I would have known that, i never would have signed a contract with them, I would have gone with a company that actually was going to do the job themselves! So a heads up to everyone out there, you might want to pass on Century Home Improvements, they are NOT the company they used to be, they do not seem to have an issue misleading customers, as by ****'s own admission to me, Century sub-contracts all their roofing jobs out to someone else, yet their contactor told me they do the work themselves... so if you are looking for a roofer, I would take a pass on Century Home Improvements, you will pay top dollar expecting Century to do your roof, but you will get some other sub-contracted roofer doing it, and if you question Century about it, you will only get verbally attacked... these are not people you want to deal with.
