    My rating would be 0 stars. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Before contracting with Wenger Flooring, we compared quotes and reviews from multiple companies. We specifically discussed the suitability of *** (Stone Plastic Composite) flooring for concrete floors in our barn-converted residence, inquiring about underlayment/moisture barriers and subfloor leveling. Wenger Flooring stated the *** was compatible with concrete, no underlayment was needed, and necessary floor leveling would be performed. Installation began May 2024, but owner Mr. ****** was not present until the end of the project. Material shortages required two supplemental orders.Approximately four months later, significant flooring failure occurred in the *** flooring. With widespread seam separation and breakage. Mr. ****** attributed the failure to the incompatibility of *** flooring with our concrete subfloor. His solution was to level the concrete (which they did prior to the installation and would be an additional cost) and reinstall the same *** flooring. We doubted this would solve the problem. Following this exchange, in December 2024, Wenger Flooring stopped communicating with us despite our attempts to follow up.We hired a second contractor for an independent assessment. They determined the *** flooring is unsuitable for concrete subfloors due to the rigidity. They also noted the lack of a crucial moisture barrier, which could lead to mold. The second company suggested using MPC (modified Polymer Composite) flooring (designed for concrete), they also found substantial subfloor leveling was required, indicating deficient preparation by Wenger Flooring. Mr. ****** is nonresponsive, noncommunicative, unapologetic and unwilling to accept responsibility for the poor job. In hindsight, we should have asked to speak with previous clients for their feedback of Wenger Flooring, it would have been beneficial. I hope to prevent others from having the same terrible experience.
