    4/29/2022 Transmission/torque converter rebuilt at VIC's transmission– 3 year warranty $5091.99 Returned 2 weeks later for routine check – no issues A week later, shuddering started again. Returned to VIC’s 3 to 4 more times. We were told, nothing was wrong, balanced tires saying that could be the issue. No change. Minimally drove ****** over the next few months. 3/6/2023 due for inspection and had second opinion on transmission. Noted torque converter which had been replaced was bad. 3/21/2023 Returned to VICs. Torque converter replaced and engine oil leak fixed Two weeks later, shuddering returned worse than before. 5/3/23 Returned to VICs and told him he needed to fix issue. He used after-market valve body accumulator zip kit to resolve issue. Shuddering returned within one week. 6/16/23 - Transmission and torque converter still under warranty so returned, unannounced, to ask what our options were and if he would honor warranty and replace transmission again. His Option was to use an after-market product he had only had a month and used once. It reprograms how torque converter senses transmission shifting and would charge us $400 to use. We spoke with our mechanic, who felt this was a band aide, to the issue and should have someone else run a diagnostic on the transmission. 7/5/23 ********* *** Sunbury assessed and recommended new torque converter and transmission. 7/11/23 Returned to VICs, only because of warranty. We asked for him to replace torque converter for a third time. He refused to replace transmission but reprogrammed computer with ** Tuner system after we told him not to. 8/1/23 Vehicle is shuddering more and runs worse. He has ignored everything we have explained to him after a second and third opinion. We do not trust returning to VIC's with our *** ****** and would like *** ********* in Sunbury, who provided the third opinion, to fix/replace the transmission. VIC honoring his warranty at another garage.

    we had rebuilt a 2013 ****** for the ***********. we give a 3 year nationwide warranty. the date was 4-27-2022. a few months passed and they had an issue with the torque converter chatter. we pulled the transmission and replaced the torque converter under warranty. in march of this year they had another issue with the torque converter chattering again. ******* said the same thing was happening again. the dealer stated that a gm torque converter would be better than a aftermarket converter. however on the gms that is all we use is a gm torque converter. I showed them the sales slips from ******* *********.  they have a problem keeping the torque converter lockup clutch alive because of gm is locking them up right after 2nd gear. so when it came back we put another gm torque converter in and did a hp tune that delays the lock up torque converter from coming in to early. I am sorry they had problems. we did our best to make them happy. they are very nice people.
