    I have a complaint about my landlord. I moved into the Hammocks at Millcreek apts in Erie 2
    months ago and since I moved in and I have not been able to have peace in the apt because of
    a very bothersome noise. I work a stressful job and I need my home to a place where I have
    enough rest. I am a physician and I need good sleep to be able to better take care of my
    patients. I need a quiet environment to be able to study for my board exams and better prepare
    to take care of the patients The apt manager has told me they have exhausted the means to fix
    the noise and there is nothing else they can do. The management doesn't seem to care about
    the noise. After mounting so much pressure on them to find a way to fix the noise or move me to
    a different apt that does not have the bothersome noise, I was I told I would have to pay a
    transfer fee if I am to be moved to a different apt. My response was "why do I have to pay a
    transfer fee if it is not my fault that I am moving". Since then the management (apt manager and
    property manager) have been ignoring my emails/calls/texts. I wonder why I am being treated
    this badly. I have not done anything wrong, I continue to pay my rents on time, despite living in
    hell in that apt. I would be very gratefull if you can be of help. Thanks in anticipation

    Good afternoon, 

    Since the day the noise issue arose, The Hammocks at Millcreek maintenance team responded very quickly to rectify the issue. We attempted multiple fixes and/or adjustments to eliminate the noise. The noise continued so we hired a professional plumber to also attempt to fix the noise, as we are always willing to take any route to ensure our residents are comfortable in their home. With plumbing, a lot of times the pipes will expand and contract creating small noises depending on the temperature, weather, etc... the plumber did lessen the noise, but could not completely eliminate it. 

    Management has continued to stay in touch with the resident who we have agreed to transfer to another apartment in the community with no transfer fee.
