  I signed a contract with Mark Anthony Concrete in August 2021 for replacing a raised porch and specified it to be done in May/June 2022. They never started this job until September 7th at which time they worked 4 hours but, encountered some issues which should not have been that difficult for a seasoned concrete contractor. On October 1st, no further progress other than installing support posts, was completed and the concrete block damage was not repaired. After waiting for their block layer to arrive to repair the block nothing was being done so I called and recommended a block layer to Mark Anthony which was not my responsibility in the first place. The block layer arrived on October 6th and repaired the block foundation in 4 hours. Once again, I had to call Mark Anthony Concrete on October 12th to get a commitment for the work to be done before the weather would prohibit finishing the project. It was not until November 16th that this simple project was completed, nearly five months later. I am not insinuating that the finished project is unsatisfactory. To the contrary we are very happy with the finished patio.However, at completion of the project we were charged an additional nearly $2,000. over and above the original quoted contract. A change in plans for completion of this patio had to be made due to some structural issues encountered but, that also eliminated some of the originally planned demolition, fill, and labor. The additional charges included $180.00 each for 6 **** posts which sell for $118.00 at *********** Additionally, the contract included Patio Posts to be removed (roofline braced) and reinstalled on time and material basis and we were charged again for the same. The quote and billing practices of this company are misleading and not ethically and professionally correct. The entire project was frustrating and interfered with our entire spring and summer. Never have experienced such a poorly timed job completion in my years as a homeowner.

  Mark Anthony Concrete has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, his word is nothing, we HAD to sign an agreement and pay a third down in February to get it down late spring/early summer...Called and called and emailed and emailed you get nothing. We were having our driveway done. He finally came and did the driveway SEPTEMBER, our problem with our driveway was water retaining at the bottom he knew this...it has rained these last few days pretty hard..we have a puddle just sitting in our driveway..his response well its better than before..he cracked a step in the process we asked him to come and fix it put something on it so water doesn't get through..haven't seen his. But let me tell you when it's time to pay him he appears magically. His last payment he asked if we would be home we said no we have a 6:00 he came to collect at 5:55 and that check went right in the bank..he's a complete piece of work. I want my step sealed and I want to not have a puddle in my driveway I want this fixed!*******************

  ***, Im going to address your points as you brought them up. First off as I explained to you the process was pushed back on multiple projects through the year and the jobs were done in the order they were received. Second when I asked your husband about picking the check up he told me yes as long as I was there before six if youd like to see the message that he sent me I can show you that was the only reason I had tried to make it before that time because he asked me to be over before you had left. Third your driveway is approximately 45 feet long with only 4 inches of slope because the road has been topped over so many times that theres no fall from the garage lip to the road. ******** standard is 1 in 4 your is almost 3x that flat and the water drains perfectly with the exception of 2 small spots were the road deviates in height. In regards to the spot in your step it was just brought up to me the other day by your husband and again I can show you in the message agreed we would fix ithe didnt bring it up till after the fact and the last two days its rained. The material used to fix the step requires the concrete be perfectly dry. Once the weather allows we will be over to complete the work as agreed. Kind regards,
