I was on a trip from Watertown, NY where I bought the car about a year ago, to Las Vegas. Before I left I had my oil changed and inspection done by my dealership. After I crossed the PA line, the low oil pressure light started coming on, so I stopped as soon as it appeared I could, in Erie, when I went to get dinner the service engine light came on since interstate mits was closed forEclipse, i went to Monroe and was told there were signs of metal but also there was no oil left, but also no leaks, so he put oil in and I had it towed to interstate from the hotel. I waited about a week and finally called and was told it was full of sludge which usually means lack of maintenance and without it he wouldn't even submit it to be covered or dig deeper to find our cause or extent of it. I've talked to my dealership and their service and mitsubishi and was told he can't do that, he has to submit. I'm still sitting here thousands of miles away and know as much as I did on the 7th when this started. I don't have records, but even without it, it should be submitted, as it has 42k miles, well within the warranty. I think it should be covered, but at least submitted, and if not then they should transport it to me so I can find a dealer that will at least try.

    To Whom It May Concern,

Vehicle: J**************** was towed into Interstate Mitsubishi on 4-9-24.

Customer Complaint: CUSTOMER HAD VEHICLE TOWED IN OVER WEEKEND. CUSTOMER STATES THAT THEY WERE DRIVING THRU OUR AREA AND SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK TO MONROE, TECHNICIAN THERE NOTED NO OIL IN CAR AND METAL SHAVINGS.

The technician found that the vehicle was low on oil and sludge throughout the engine. Please see attached photos. The lower oil pan was removed, and valve covers removed to see internal components of engine and find cause of failure. Customer was advised that Mitsubishi will need maintenance records to submit for warranty coverage. Customer approved the removal of oil pan and valve covers to take and submit pictures to warranty.

At this point in time the claim has been submitted to warranty. Warranty has attached pictures and one record of maintenance (oil change) that has been done to the vehicle that will be used in the decision making of warranty coverage or not.

    Thank you,

Car has been at interstate Mitsubishi since Friday for a recall issue to be fixed. Interstate said Saturday they sent all information to corporate.. Cesar, case manager at corporate closed my case Tuesday without giving dealership or myself an answer or approval or denied for recall repair. I reopened the case as it has not been handled, i am getting the run around from both corporate and dealership about whether my car will be fixed due to their lack of fixing the recall the 1st time 22months ago... Crossmember recall due to corrosion causing control arm to detach, exactly what happened driving down the road last Wednesday causing front tire to jam sideways into wheel well, breaking my axel, had we been going any faster it would had been a horrible accident. Went from 25mph to 0in a split second, luckily my child was not hurt. Car was towed by my AAA to interstate, who on Saturday sent all information to corporate, corporate manager closed case without giving anyone an answer, dealership does not care enough to find out what is going on as i sit a week without my car and a single mother with children with many health issues. I just need answers that noone is giving me.

*** ****** vehicle was dropped off on a Friday, February 17, 2023. In order for warranty work to be done on a vehicle there are steps that need to be completed for warranty approval through the manufacturer, Due to the timing of the vehicle being brought in, we were not able to contact Mitsubishi regarding this case until Monday, February 20, 2023. By Wednesday, February 22, 2023, we had representatives from Mitsubishi in store to look at the vehicle regarding the repairs. We are currently awaiting a final approval for the repairs to *** ****** vehicle. *** **** is currently in a rental vehicle we provided her with as a courtesy to not leave her stranded without a vehicle while waiting for repair approval for her personal vehicle. At this time, Interstate Mitsubishi has done no wrong regarding the repairs to the customer's vehicle and is not responsible for any further action at this time.

    Thank you,
