On Friday October 25 2024. ***** ************ took his 2018 ******* Tucson to Take 5 Oil Change. Received an oil change for $49.27. Left business onto ************. Then check oil light came on and made a right at 2nd light from business maybe quarter mile. Then made another right to return to business. Then service engine light came on and car stalled. Called business. Hour later they finally came and got underneath and took off skid shield then checked and found oil filter was loose. There was no more oil in the car. Oil sprayed all over inside of engine. Employees put on oil filter and put oil in it. Then car would not start. Then car was towed 6 miles to a auto mechanic garage and it was determined that engine blew up and would need a new engine. ***** ******* district manager then tried to find a rental car. Was unable to find until next week. But we needed one **** due to jobs and personal commitments. A truck was found at ********** but because we do no have a major credit card with $700 on it we could not get. Corporate **** ****** @ ************ was unable to help with the rental car issue. Rental car must go in our name and under or credit card. Corporate **** ****** is having a used car engine shipped to our garage on Tuesday or Wednesday be fixed. Possible week to 2 weeks to be fixed. Due to situation we are both losing money. I had to take off 2 hours of work as well ***** husband. My husband ****s everyday and no we are losing over $100 dollars a day due to not having a vehicle for **** because you can not use a rental. A lawyer will be contacted on Monday 10/28/24 for pain and suffering. We paid $49.27 and it was refunded. We were also told we would be reimbursed for any rental car costs. But we were unable to rent a vehicle due to high costs and lack of major credit card. All repair costs are being compensated by Take 5 Oil Change.
