    Today 8/5/22 I went with my family to splash lagoon on Peach st. ,Erie PA we were having a great time till we dealt with a racist employee of the bar located near the wave pool. Unfortunately, it made our experience go from 10/10 to 2/10. Me and my family ordered a couple drinks the previous bartender did not I.D us shortly after went back for more drinks and the bartender have switched shift the new bartender asked my brother for his I.D he replied “oh we just ordered recently and she didn’t ask us but I’ll go to my car and get it “ while the rest of us stayed there we witness a white male customer order a drink and the bartender not asking for an I.D she also did with two other customers who she didn’t I.D and they were white we did approach her and asked how come she ID us but not others she gave us an attitude I myself requested to speak to a manager because It was obviously discrimination due to us being a mix group . A male supervisor who did not introduced himself approached us and was laughing about the situation, I asked how come she choose to I.d some but not others he responded is up to her discretion who she I.D I then asked for a manager as he was just being ignorant and laughing about the situation, the assistant manager Jill arrived she was nice about the situation and understanding. Its very sad that we still have to deal with injustice and discrimination and witnessing it hurts a lot. I myself as a Registered nurse I don’t choose who to care for at my job as that will result in negligence and honestly I would never which is the recent I chosen this profession I treat all my patients the same way. It is very unfortunate that splash lagoon have these kind of people working for the company.
