used to eat these when I was younger. I recently purchased 5 pies at ************** in my city. Bought 3 lemon and 2 apple. The lemon pies literally didnt have any lemon in the pie. All three pies were empty. Didnt taste one lick of lemon flavor. The apple pies werent much better. I dont eat sweet items these days, but when I do, I want what is advertised to be! The crust is twice the thickness compared to the filling. I will not be able to trust buying these pies again and I will inform anyone else if they cross my path. Either get better or get out of business. These were for church and I was embarrassed to serve them. Also, the photo of your pies that are on the box is extremely over exaggerated . BE HONEST!!

    Good afternoon,

We are very sorry you were unable to enjoy the snack pies that you purchased. If you could provide the code printed on the front of the box and if the best by date was placed on the carton, I could begin to investigate the root cause for the concern you have. In the meantime, I will gladly send some replacement pies to you. You should see them in 5-7 business days.

    Sincere regards,

    JTM Foods, Quality team

I purchased a peach pie today from the perrysville handy mart, this pie was nasty, like trying to chew rubber. Tasteless, and very stale. Looked all over the box, for a expiration date, there was none. So then I tried to contact the company via their website listed on the box (jjsbakery.net), which redirected me to "**********************", filled out the contact form, describing my problem, and uploading a photo of the box, soon as i hit submit, it said "server error", and erased all my information regarding this.so it looks like this company does NOT care about the freshness nor quality of their product, and they certainly do not ensure what people buy is edible. and to make it worse, they have a non-functional website.i feel that i wasted my money on this substandard product, and would like a FULL refund.on the website, it states, and I quote "JJS PIES ARE THE BEST SNACK PIES AROUND"what a joke, these things are downright nasty...chew a pack of gum, it's easier, and at least has some flavor.YOU ARE TO RESPOND ONLY ON THE BBB, DO NOT EMAIL ME DIRECTLY, DO NOT CALL ME. ALL REPLIES MUST BE PUBLICLY VIEWABLE BY THE PUBLIC.

    Good afternoon *****,

Our CEO received the attached letter concerning a complaint on one of our products. I will follow up with ****** apologizing for his experience, from the description of the pie condition he gave it is apparent this pie was on the shelf too long. I will give him an explanation that our pies are frozen at the distributor and the store level is responsible to put a best by date of 21 days after thaw when putting out for sale. I will have our sales team reach out to the store and explain how the pies should be handled. I will also send some coupons to ****** to replace the purchase that he made.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

    Regards,

    Kelly B*******
    Director of Quality/R&D

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

several items here are outright lies, first of all, I have **NOT** received any "coupons", secondly, I contacted this company on facebook, and was told I would receive a response, NOTHING, I contacted them again, and NOTHING. it is **NOT** my problem, how you deliver the pies, my ONLY concern, is that I paid good money, and received a very stale and NASTY product, which your company has NOT done anything about. I asked for a REFUND, and NOT coupons, I have NO desire to eat any of your foods again, considering the NASTY NATURE of what you produce.

the reply is a absolute LIE, they DID NOT send me a refund check, they sent me 4 coupons for free pies, which I redeemed, and guess what, ALL FOUR were stale, and nasty. I was also told their "quality assurance department would look into the issue", again, another lie, considering the ones I received by using the four free coupons, were just as nasty as the one I originally complained about.

Strange, I posted on facebook, how I was ignored, and the nasty nature of their product, and they blocked me, I tried to complain on the website of theirs, and just received a "server error", so it's pretty obvious that this company does NOT care about the quality of their product, nor do they care about their customers. Read on amazon, reviews of their pies, NUMEROUS complaints similar to mine, several people reported MOLD growing on the pies they purchased.

I will state again, I WANT A REFUND OF MY $2.35 THAT I PAID FOR THE PIE. I DO NOT WANT MORE COUPONS, JUST MY $2.35 BACK. I am sure a company as large as JJ's can surely afford $2.35.

Its a simple thing, send me my $2.35 back, thats' all im asking and that all I have ever asked.

    Regards,
