I received a subscription bill from Daily Times ********************************* Swarthmore PA *****. This business is sending out **** billing for subscriptions. I received a bill for Sunday delivery stating that I am paid up until 10/6/24. I have never paid, subscribed, or received any newspapers from this business. After this SCAM neither will I.

I started home delivery with them 5 years ago. My subscription price was $600 +/- year. Over the last 5 years this has slowly increased to what is now $ 1482 a year. I first called to complain about the increase as according to the stated subscription price listed in the physical paper the Home delivery rate for Daily plus Sunday is $ 20.00/wk ( ($1,040 a year). I was given some story about the price of manufacturing has been added. I called back a week later to cancel my subscription to be told that they would not refund my $ 741 that they just charged to my credit card as they have a "no refund" policy which is written in their Subscription terms at the bottom of the page in print so small I needed a magnifying glass to read. Then I was told that they don't automatically renew which I called them out on because they did that to me with no notice of a price increase. Their solution...they reduced my 26 wk rate which will graciously give me 2 added weeks of subscriptions. Whopee!! So I'm paying $ 4,00 an issue for something I can buy at the store for $ 2.95. What a rip off!

The daily times called wanting to know if I’d be interested in a six month subscription for $130.At first I said no because of their biased reporting was my reason for canceling years ago. They assured me during the call that they had changed their reporting to be more fair.Sadly it took me a couple of months to realize they hadn’t changed at all.I called them recently and requested a refund for the remainder of the subscription. They flat out refused and told me they don’t do refunds. As far as I’m concerned they didn’t deliver the product they sold me.
