      Business Response

      Date: 12/20/2024

Moore Propane was contacted by ***** ******, via email, after business hours on the evening of December 10th, 2024.  In his email, Mr. ****** explained that he had found another company to provide his propane and he would like us to remove our tank from his property.  ********** staff read Mr. ******* email the morning of December 11th, 2024 and spoke to him when he called at 9 am.  During the phone conversation, it was explained to Mr. ****** that we would have a manager look into his account and get in contact with him regarding the tank removal.  When looking into his account,it was found that Mr. ****** became our customer when he purchased this property in 2021.  The previous property owner established an account when he had purchased a 500-gallon propane tank from Moore Propane in 2016.  Therefore, the propane tank that is on Mr. ******* property is in fact owned by him, and not Moore Propane.
It was also discovered that management of Mr. ******* account is in the care of Keystone Guardianship.  Being that Mr. ****** was planning to switch providers and wanted a propane tank that he owns removed from his property, we reached out to ********************* to make them aware of this situation.   After speaking with a representative, it was determined that Mr. ****** was previously the consumer, however, as of October 2024, ********************* is the financial manager of his account and is responsible for payments.
While our office staff was working on this matter, I received an email on December 11th shortly before 11 am from the Better Business Bureau.  The email explained that ********* had placed a complaint with the BBB stating that Moore Propane had not responded to his request of the tank removal with a disputed amount of $3000.  Mr. ****** currently has a $0 balance on his account with ****************** and no discussion of a monetary exchange was mentioned by him in his email or during the phone call that he had made that morning.  Also, let it be noted that Moore Propane does not owe Mr. ****** money toward the propane tank in question, or anything else relating to his account.
We value all of our customers and always do our best to provide exceptional customer service.  We feel that this situation was a misunderstanding and hope that Mr. ****** is reassured that he does not owe money to Moore Propane, the tank is his property, and he is free to have any propane provider that he chooses fill his tank.
