Deck building contract signed on 03/24/2023 Work started 5/31/2023 Total money paid $18,228 Frame declared finished by a contractor on 6/30/2023 Frame failed second time by inspector on 07/18/2023 Built 4 U LLC was committed to build the deck within 30-40 days according to the approved plan and PA building codes. The deck frame built was not up to PA code standards with sub-par materials and multiple structural flaws, and failed township inspection twice. Contractor failed to supervise the project and take responsibility for the failed workmanship of the subcontracted team. Upon close inspection, it has become evident that the contractor's workmanship falls far short of the standards we had anticipated. The framing is haphazardly done, failing to meet not only architectural vision but also the required building codes and regulations. This negligence and lack of attention to detail are profoundly disappointing and raise serious questions about the contractor's competence that led to the halt of all ongoing works and demand for a refund. Following the initial inspection failure by the Warrington township inspector, the contractor was granted an opportunity to address the identified issues. However, despite their efforts, their lack of expertise and professionalism led to further complications, resulting in a second failed inspection of the deck frame by the township inspector. Every contractor that was hired to fix/finish the project deemed to demolish the frame and start over. The desired outcome of this dispute is the refund of money paid, to cover the project that will include demolishing/disposal of an existent frame and building everything from ground up.
