I purchased a washing machine through ***** 2 years ago under warranty. It just broke on me, when reaching out to *****, they send Whitman appliance. The initial inspection was to diagnose the problem. Once the parts that were ordered came in, the tech returned to my house. Once he realized he needed to drain the water, he said he was leaving to retrieve a water vac, I had the feeling he wouldn't return, and he didn't. I received a call to schedule another appointment. I then requested another tech, as the tech admitted he was fairly new with limited experience. It's now going on 3 weeks with no washer, so I wanted the next time to be the last time. I was asked over the phone if I could get a water vac, and I replied no, they are supposed to be equipped to fix the problem. The same tech that I had asked not to return to my house returned, but I could not get another day off so I was not the one here when he came. This time he claimed to fix it, but later that night while trying to do laundry that had piled up, low and behold, my washer still isn't working. I'm hoping ***** has another company to use because they will NEVER attempt to fix anything for me.

I have an appliance service plan with ******** for my refrigerator. Repairman tore a chunk out of my kitchen floor when he moved it; Note: I was told by his manager that they are NOT supposed to move anything. Neither I nor my husband were in the kitchen when he was assessing the problem or moving the refrigerator. Not only did he NOT repair the refrigerator, he also did not move it back in its original space. I didn't notice this until I returned to the kitchen right after he left. At that point is when I discovered the huge chunk taken out of our fairly new kitchen floor. I took pictures IMMEDIATELY and called them. The owner called me back and was extremely rude and condescending as he proceeded to inform us that his employee did not do the damage and that we probably did it ourselves; basically calling us thieves/scammers for trying to get a new floor at their expense, even though the floor is fairly new as it is. He washed his hands of the matter and hung up on me. Since the chunk was so big, I wondered where the damaged piece was so I sifted through a day's worth of trash to see if the repairman threw it away and lo and behold... there it was, all balled up and in the trash. The owner still would NOT accept responsibility and told me he was NOT going to pay for any damage, even though according to HIS company's rules, he wasn't supposed to move ANYTHING in the first place. I then proceeded to call ******** since the contract is with them and was told they are also not responsible. So.... no one wants to take responsibility for the damage and we are left with a damaged floor that we are going to have to replace at our expense?! Also, we have paid $100, our deductible, and have received NOTHING in return; refrigerator is still broken. I am a 60 year old woman that has better things to do with my time than try to scam a repair company, and I was VERY INSULTED at what the owner was suggesting. The name of the repair shop is Whitman's Appliance Repair in Trevose and the service protection contract is with ********. Can someone PLEASE help us get this matter resolved? We are a retired couple who are on a fixed income and can't afford to have a new floor installed or hire a lawyer to get justice. I have also contacted the news outlets with this complaint, trying to find someone who can help us. Therefore, any assistance we can get is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I purchased a washer machine with warranty through *****. I submitted a claim for a repair for my washer machine and The Whitman appliance company is being used. They have come out to my house 3 times to service my washer machine and it still isn’t fixed. The last time they came out on 10/11 they stated that either they needed to replace the drum and a few other parts or deem it irreparable because even if they fix it they believe it will have the same problems in 1 month. The technician Charlie told me this information. Instead they keep ordering other parts that take additional time and do not solve the actual issue. I have called the company multiple times and they keep telling me they can’t tell me what parts are ordered and that they don’t have any additional information to tell me. I am not being reimbursed for laundromat fees. The manager will also not return my calls. I am just asking for help to resolve my issue with the washer machine. I have also asked them to submit paperwork to ***** that my washer is irreparable so that I can either get a replacement or refund through ***** but they have refused. The washer machine sounds worse than when I even originally called for service.
