  July 15 met w them to discuss roof repairs after tree fell on my house. They determined I needed an entire new roof, facia, gutters/downspouts, chimney repairs, trusses, etc. I gave them $12k out of the roughly $20k estimate. They had promised to start next day. Pushed starting date multiple times. Said would be 3 day job, but rushed and got it done in 1.5. Directly after “repairs” roof was visibly still not fixed and when it rained my basement flooded which had never happened before. Structural engineer came out and said everything looked good except roof. My insurance said Marvesta needed to file a claim with their insurance. They did not/would not. We put in French drain to try to keep basement from flooding, but due to gutters/roof being installed wrong this did not help. Visible where water was running off roof and landing at base of house. Marvesta came out and they said they would fix the roof and the basement. 1 person came out didn’t stay long and never spoke to me. Had to call back about basement fixed. Marvesta again said would fix but never reached out to set up. I called again and had my dad present. Marvesta brought subcontractor and we all agreed to new drywall/insulation, carpet, money for ruined furniture, rotten wood replaced. I paid for the work to be done upfront to my contractor and today he was to drop off check for work and damaged items and didn’t show for either and told me I would hear from his attorney. I’m out thousands of dollars and the house is to be listed on the market within 10 days and can’t be as the roof is still visibly wrong and photos can’t be taken to even list it. Marvesta did sub par work, didn’t fix the issues, lied about days would work be done/completed repeatedly, reneged on promise to fix and pay, didn’t submit the damage caused to my home to their insurance, demanded more than 50% up front as down payment, held money for extended period of time before ever starting initial repairs, etc. please help!

  Marvesta Remodeling was contracted to repair damages from a tree falling on the customer's home. We repaired the damage to the structure and installed a new roof. As in the complaint there was an issue with the roof that we were made aware of. We have agreed to contract the roofing company of the customer's choice to make the needed repairs. Normally we would fix any errors ourselves, we stand behind our work and warranty all new roofs for 10 years labor and all repair work for 1 year labor. The interactions and demands of this customer escalated to the point that we would not have our crews go back to the site. 

  
  With regards to the water damaged to the customers basement, Marvesta Remodeling tried to assist the customer in finding the source of the water entering the home. We removed old paneling in the basement and have pictures and video showing where the water entered the home. The gutters that we installed by our legal citizens of the United States of America were installed properly and were not the cause of the water entering the home. As stated in the complaint the customer then had the french drain installed to fix the problem. Since we removed the walls in the basement, Marvesta Remodeling at our own expense reinstalled the stud walls, installed new insulation ( that was not there before) and drywall. 

  
  Marvesta Remodeling is a minority owned company that prides itself on our customer service and quality of the work we provide. Insurance claims are to indemnify the owner in the event of a loss, there are not for the homeowner to make additional improvements to their home, in hope to increase the amount that they can sell it for.
