  ****** Tree Service came to our home on July 3rd, 2024. The job required immediate attention. My mom was told that she would have to wait two weeks for service. After two weeks, she was told by the receptionist that they couldn't schedule her for an appointment at that time. Due to the remaining fallen limbs, the yard was a liability. My mom took immediate action and contacted another company. At that point, I cancelled the service with ******. They had failed to fulfill their part of the contract. ****** Tree Service has been sending us threatening letters demanding payment. They have even had the nerve to threaten my 85 year-old mother with court action. My mom was treated so badly by ****** Tree Service. I would never recommend them to anyone.

  With respect to your mother's age (as that is not germane to any discussion about contractual obligations in the state of Pennsylvania -- especially when you, her son signed the contract for your elderly mother) -- let us be clear about the facts. This public review constitutes a reckless disregard for the truth, and it's sole purpose is to defame and cause harm. We ask that you REMOVE THIS DEFAMATORY CONTENT IMMEDIATELY, and we ask that you CEASE and DESIST posting here or on any other public forums, with such malicious intent. On July 3rd, you, *******************, signed a contract on behalf of your mother for tree service work. Per the notes written by the estimator in the signed contract, you were informed it would be a 1-2 week timeframe to be scheduled. You agreed with this and other scope per your legal binding signature. The contract you signed states: "Deposits are not required for any contract, however once this agreement is authorized/signed, and following the 72 hour grace ******* a 10% cancellation fee will apply if contract is canceled by customer for any reason. If *********************** would need to be postponed/rescheduled for any reason, we are happy to work with you to accommodate." July 3rd was a Wednesday, July 4th & 5th we were closed for holiday. On July 8th -- 5 days later, you called irate. On Tuesday July 9th (6 days later), you cancelled.So yes, you are in breach of contract per the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania -- and you are committing libel, so will be adding those charges if you do not immediately remove your posts here and elsewhere by end of business today.Here are your demonstrably false statements: 1) "After two weeks, she was told by the receptionist that they couldn't schedule her for an appointment at that time." was 5-6 days 2) "My mom was told that she would have to wait two weeks for service" -- it was listed in contract that was signed by YOU, *******************...the son.3) "They had failed to fulfill their part of the contract." -- not true -- but YOU on the other hand.4) "They have even had the nerve to threaten my 85 year-old mother with court action" -- we have sent you, the signatory a bill -- and regardless of age, in the state of Pennsylvania, contracts are required by law to be honored. We honored ours, you are denying your obligation at this point to honor yours.

  I scheduled with Jakes Tree Service to thin out my two trees on the property which was our main reason for contact them along with minor other work.Unfortunately by the time they finally called to put me on set date all the leaves were gone and it was impossible to see at this point how dense the crown is so I tried to reschedule for spring. I was told I was going to be charged a percentage for not keeping my appointment.. just for anyones information no other company I hired before has done that! No is that desperate to force people to do something thats not in their best interest!! Not a great business practice to say the least. ***** wanted to loose money we had to stay with the date assigned with the promise that they will come back if the work needs adjustments.Spring came and the biggest tree didnt look any different than prior to their work.Still have the same issue heavy dense crown til this day! I have called and complained and in turn a rep showed up told me my tree had grown and its not their problem!!! Let me clarify the tree is approximately 37 years old and the reps claim was that my tree grew from November 2023 to the date of June June 14, 2024. He proceeded to blame me that I was home and I should off paid attention as though Im a tree expert and I should have been in charge of this job. The rep laughed at me pretty much inferred I was stupid so I asked him to leave and please refer a message to the management team to handle this matter fairly. His response was that the office should have never maid a promise that they would come back and make adjustments since not having leaves on tree makes it impossible to see what exactly should be removed. I only asked for what I paid for and it wasnt done!Needless to say no one reached out!There are other companies I dealt with over the many years but decided to call a local company that I have seen near my location. Huge loss and disappointment!!Going back to a company across the state line!

  Beware. My neighbor used this service and they broke my dog fence and broke our fig tree. They were told about the dog fence (******) and refused to take responsibility. ******* from the office never returned my repeated calls and no matter how many times I asked I was never able to speak to ****** and he never returned my calls. I never hired these people and yet incurred hundreds of dollars of damage from the company.

We welcome your call back to our office.We were not made aware at time of service that there was an dog fence under the ground where we worked. We serviced the property of your neighbor -- not your property. The dog fence appears to have been installed on your neighbor's property (per boundary conveyed to us by your neighbor). Not sure how that came to be that your fence is not on your property, but nobody involved would have expected your dog fence to be located under your neighbor's property.Once again, we have reached out in an attempt to resolve. We await your call. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks!

  The crew arrived on scene at approximately the time they said they would be there. They cut down two trees in our front yard and grounded down the stumps. Because of the late hour of the afternoon, they came back the next day and completely cleaned up all residual debris. They did a great job. We would hire them again in an instant, and probably will.

  Find ANY other company to do your tree work. They left a mess of my yard and broke my fence. Didn't use the mats to protect my grass like the salesman discussed. No workers were wearing PPE. Dropped the tree they cut right over shrubs in my yard and broke them. Never had a worse experience with a contractor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

  This morning I came home to a tree down on my property into the street. I phoned Jake’s tree service, and the owner was at my home in less than 10 minutes, and had a crew to remove the tree and remaining stump in less than 4 hours. His staff was professional, efficient, and cleaned up loose debris before leaving. I would highly recommend Jake’s Tree Service to anyone and everyone.
