    My name is ********* *****. My mother is ***** ********. She lives in Maris Grove in *******************, ** at *******************. My mother had a stroke on November 12. She was taken to ********************* in media, ** and then she was brought back to ********** at Maris Grove in ******************* ***************. She is 96 years old. When her costs were submitted to her insurance company, which is Humana who Ive been on the phone with constantly, she was kept two days additional in ********** and those two days were never submitted to Humana for payment. My mother was covered under her **************** for those days however Maris Grove withdrew $1110 for a care center private room on 11/25/24 and 11/26/24. Im seeking reimbursement for my mother. I cannot get any resolution and I would like some help with this to get my mothers $1110 back credited from payment from Humana. These days are covered by her **************** yet Maris Grove charged the patient anyway and will not resolve this issue.

    Please be advised this billing concern is  with the insurance company, ******, denying coverage of 2 days. Family member received in writing on November 22 notice of last covered day by insurance company and resident would become private pay. The Maris Grove billing team contacted ****** and they requested for the community to re-submit bill and they would consider coverage of 2 days in question.

    Our team has been in contact wit the daughter today and was made aware we have rebilled at Humana's request for them to reconsider coverage of the 2 days in question.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    My mother was not released to go back to her current home and therefore stayed in the nursing home facility for additional time(2 days).

     

    On at least two occasions, Maris Grove admin people promised an assessment of her condition. Those assessments did not occur when promised.

    it Is completely unfair for Maris Grove to expect my mother to pay the charges she has already paid, when Maris Grove themselves caused the extra cost.

     

    We expect a complete refund of $1,110 due to the negligence of Maris Grove management.

    Maris Grove Skilled nursing facility has contacted me indicating that they have issued a credit on my mothers account.
