My daughter went to SLSOD for two years with no issue. I was involved and helped and my daughter enjoyed dancing. This past year, she was less interested in dancing. She was enrolled but quickly realized she did not want to dance anymore. I shared this information with Kim and she became insistent that we revisit the studio to try and convince my daughter to dance. My daughter was in tears at the thought of going back, but Kim would not respect our decision to leave. I continued to tell her over MONTHS that we wanted to separate from the studio but was insistent and was bullying me in to bring my daughter back to dance although it caused her apparent anxiety to be there. I had paid hundreds of dollars in anticipation of being with the studio for the season, but my daughter only attended a single class. I let Kim know that we were done and that I would like a refund. She denied my refund and could only offer studio credit (of five cents) although I had no intention of returning EVER.

She did her best to delay final resolution and continued to refer to herself as accommodating and "Godly" although she was not exhibiting those characteristics. It came to the point of me having to block her from contacting me on my device to keep her from harassing me with phone calls and text messages.

My account has been cancelled so direct account documents cannot be provided, but I paid at least $166.00 directly to Kim on Venmo, 148.20 on Sept 23

This mom enrolled her daughter for the 2022-2023 season.  She brought her to the first class then said she didn’t want to come any more.  I called her because I felt that the year before she was in a class a little too old.  *** was able to handle the dance part with the older dancers but I thought maybe it was the age difference that she was having an issue with.  *** never shows at dance that she doesn’t like the class.  So I was working with the mom to try and find a good fit for ***.  She was going to bring her to different classes to try them out to see what was going to be a good fit.  After many attempts to get a good time we finally just did an evaluation with me and *** and her brother.  They had an amazing time to the point she didn’t want to come out of the room.  *** said she wanted to dance.  Then she went to the waiting area and then said she didn’t want to dance.  I told the mom if she comes next week great if not then we will take her off the enrollment.  She was Ok with that.  I tried everything just to make the best decision for ***.  I also had the dad calling me and asking me why *** wasn’t in dance.  He said that is all she does at his house and how he paid for her to be in dance.  I am not sure what else we could have done to help the family.  I personally put a lot of time and energy into helping ***.  I am sorry if we hurt the family in any way.  We are only trying to provide a wonderful experience in the art of dance.
