January 13th is when I first made contact with the business to get repairs for my vehicle. It was the following day they gave me an invoice a total of $1800 for a head gasket parts and labor. A couple days later they said the cam was bad and added an additional $300 in labor to the invoice saying they got a cheap cam to use and that they would include it with the other parts. We had several difficulties along the way, each time I called the person at the business would start shouting over me when I would just call for updates on each day they said they would be finished with the vehicle. It was originally supposed to be an 18 hour job so I assumed about a week its now been four and they said the first new cam didn't work so they then charged me $500 for the second new cam. At this point I've given them $1300 in total for the parts and the last confirmed amount they'd charge me for labor is another $1300.I think they are going to charge me for their own mistake of using a cheap cam and having to redo labor and now they are saying that they had to redo part of it again to replace an actuator (that's what they called it) They said the actuator part would be done today Monday 2-10 and yet I haven't heard from them and they aren't answering my calls. I just want my car back in fully working condition and hopefully only pay the last $1300 amount I agreed to but I understand if I have to pay more but I'm not paying double that amount when all these other times have been their own messups: not paying for the right cam in the first place and not knowing you have to replace the actuator when you replace the cam.

just wanted to let you know that at least for now this issue seems like it might have been resolved. They went with the original invoice payment so they didn't give me any of the upcharges that the mechanic had told me over the course of the month and they have given me back my vehicle in working condition. As long as the work they did holds up and nothing reveals itself to be further broken as a result of work they did or didn't do then I am fairly satisfied with how the transaction ended. I am still displeased with the mechanic's/receptionist's manners constantly shouting and not being particularly communicative when he did talk calmly as well as an originally week long job taking a month to complete, however, I think it's commendable that the business took ownership for the mistakes made along the way and as long as no further issues arise from their work it seems they did a good job with the final repairs (even if it took a few times).

I appreciate the help from the BBB this seems like it was best possible outcome and while I regret that this may have longterm effects on their business should they improve but from the sounds of it their rating was hardly injured so perhaps a note added to the BBB page of my complaint stating that they did a good job with the final repairs and that they canceled the upcharges would be in order.
