Had a shower install done beginning of Sept. The istall is completely a mess, Shower base placed on concrete floor. Plywood placed appro 2" above shower base and attemted to glue laminate to this. Laminate and plywood have separated on side wall, base not centered over drain. Left open between base and floor. Have placed multiple calls to no avail. Was told it would be redone on Monday October 17th. No one showed no calls. Still sitting here with a total mess in shower. This shower is for my disabled Husband, such unprofessional work and customer service.

We sincerely apologize to ******************* as this project does not meet the standards of a West Shore Home installation. We have been in regular communication with them, and we are ready to resolve any and all issues. The ******* have requested we do not perform any service work just yet as they are remodeling the rest of their bathroom and would like us to wait until that is finished before we return. We have issues arise with less than 1% of our projects but when issues do arise we will always stand by our customers until they are 100% satisfied.

We recently (3 months ago) got a shower installed in our downstairs bathroom by West Shore. I have been reaching out to them via web chat, and phone calls about a heavy faulty glass door. Nobody from the business will answer my calls or return them. When I do get through to the business via phone, I am placed on hold for 45 minutes or more with the expectation that I will not be answered. Or when they do finally answer, I get transferred back and forth between people who say, "Hold on and I'll transfer you"!!!

I find it extremely offensive they put the name RESIDENT, on their mailer. That is not my NAME. I am the homeowner, name " ***** *** ****** " at **** ******** ***** Whitsett NC I am not a happy customer that spent $9,000 a year ago for them to upgrade my shower in my Master Bathroom. They left the job unfinished, dirty caulking around my new Walkin shower, leaving the right side of my Walkin shower with No Caulking. Their contractors left dust on my furniture in my master bedroom outside the bathroom. They did not clean up after themselves. They are well aware I am not pleased with them. I will never ever again, contract West Shore Homes for anything. They have competition. I do not need them for anything. What pisses me off is that they continue to mail me their Marketing Post Cards soliciting their marketing Ads I have let it be known to West Shore Homes Corporate website from January 2022 to now October 2022 . STOP / REMOVE MY ADDRESS **** ******** ***** WHITSETT NC ***** FROM YOUR INFORMATION FROM THEIR ADVERTISING MAILINGS. I have even written the words on their Advertising Paper Malings. STOP RETURN TO SENDER. Yet they continue to HARRASS mail their Advertising Paper Mailings using the name RESIDENT **** ******** ***** WHITSETT NC *****. MY NAME IS NOT " RESIDENT " . it is ***** *** ******, have been a homeowner for 5 years at **** ******** ***** Whitsett NC. i am not going anywhere. What actions do I need to take for West Shore Homes to take me SERIOUS. I am keeping all their Advertising Paper Malings as Proof. I have attached a copy to BB as Proof. I will seek Legal Action against West Shore Homes. IF I CONTINUE TO SEE THEIR AD MAILINGS AT MY ADDRESS. PLEASE BB HELP ME STOP THEM. I will Call all the companies they do business with and ask that they remove your information from their advertising mailings. I will call banks, stores, insurance companies, frequent flier programs, credit card companies, phone companies and Internet shopping sites.

West Shore Home uses high pressure tactics to get you to agree to spend way too much for a shower. They said if we didn't agree the day the salesman came to our house that it would be $5000 more. So we didn't have time to think clearly. They had us quickly sign a contract that was on his ipad so we didn't have time to read it all. He was summarizing the parts he wanted us to hear, but definitely didn't say the part that said if we changed our minds in more than 2 days that we owe 35% of the price. So when I called to cancel, they transferred me to the cancellation department. That person acted like it was no big deal, said he was going to transfer me to someone else but their line was busy, so I would have to make an appointment to have someone come out. So they sent this big guy out with tatoos and a tight-fitted shirt to show his muscles. This is when we found out we would owe $8739 if we cancel. My husband said no way and that we would get a lawyer. He said fine, and that he had a team of lawyers. They just sent us a letter yesterday confirming that we owe them $8739 and that they would begin formal efforts to collect. We certainly don't have that kind of money, so they aren't going to get it from us. I already closed the high-interest line of credit that they had us open to fund the job originally. So if we don't pay, I don't want this to hurt our credit. The lawyer friend that we talked to said the cancellation fee was unreasonable. They haven't started the job or given us any materials.

******************* purchased a project from us on July 20th. She requested to cancel this project on September 15th, two months after signing her project. We are charging a cancellation fee because we have already purchased all of the custom material for her job. We cannot repurpose these materials as they are designed specifically for her home. If ******************* decides to move forward with her project we are ready to execute a one day installation at a time that fits her schedule.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  We are not going to pay $8,739.85 for them to do nothing.  I don't believe that they already created the materials, nor that they could not use them for another job.  Our attorney says that the 35% cancellation fee is not valid because it is not an "arms length" reasonable amount.

On September, 1, 2022, my wife and myself (after having moving into our new home) entered into a contract with WestShore home for a new Shower makeover in our Master bedroom. The Salesperson designed a plan for a (A)Wall Surround (gray) in color, with ****** Marble with 3 Corner Shelves.(B)This also included (1)Shower Sliding Door/60 x 70 3/4-Plantium Traditional Euro -Clear with (1) Euro Style Header, Semi-Framless Enclosure and Dual Towel Bars. The total cost of this project would be $20,633 but with a discount the final price came to $14, 191.00. Subsequently, after reconsideration and many talks with others in the SAME BUSINESS WE RECOGNIZE THIS PRICE AS BEING OVERPRICED AND WE FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AS SENIOR EMPTY NESTERS and so for that and an medical diagnosis from my wife's Internist. My wife and I CANCELLED THIS PROJECT EXACTLY 7 DAYS LATER, SEPTEMBER 11, 2022 and the penalty that we've incurred is 35% of $14, 191.00 or $1, 986.74. PLEASE, TELL ME HOW FAIR THIS IS WHEN:(1)NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE HERE; (2) THE FINANCE COMPANY, DIVIDEND( that we called to CANCEL WILLINGLY ACCEPTED OUR CANCELLATION & SENT US AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM THAT THEY HAD IN FACT CANCELLED THIS CONTRACT( NOT EVEN 3 WEEKS OLD) BECAUSE THEY STATED NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE(3) FINALLY, LAST WEEK WESTSHORE SENT THEIR HENCHMAN SALESMAN TO OUR HOME TO TELL US THAT THEYLL MAKE A DEAL WITH US!! In conclusion, WESTSHORE STATES AS OF TODAY, OCTOBER 4, 2022, they can restructure the Remolding Shower contract @ a lower price then we WONTHAVE TO PAY THE 35% BUT WE WILL NOT BE STRONGARMED INTO ANY DEAL WITH WESTSHORE. WE WANT OUT!!The finance company,

This complaint was filed by ****************** before our General Manager had an opportunity to speak with him. Once we were able to sit down and talk we completely understood his situation and honored his request to cancel the project with no penalties at all. Our initial attempt to restructure his project was an effort to provide options to ****************** that were more conducive to his budget.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:My Wife and myself are SENIORS and we wholeheartedly BELIEVE we were being OVERCHARGED ($14k) for a small bathroom to install JUST A SHOWER! Additionally, we spoke to friends, family and some other Contractors who felt that this price was EXCESSIVE.
Finally, we felt that as the economy was perhaps heading into a RECESSION the remolding of our bathroom was NO LONGER A PRIORITY BUT OUR NEW MORTGAGE WAS AND IS and therefore WE CHANGED OUR MINDS. Also, my Wife received a very concerning diagnosis which totally shifted our focus.  Then, when we tried to convey these reason (within a two wk frame period) and WestShore tried to have one of their Salesmen to strongarm myself and my Wife into another deal ( something less expensive) but we continued to say, NO THANK YOU!

WestShore ramped up its Sales HARASSMENT by continually CALLING AND INSISTING UPON VISITING OUR HOME TO GO OVER the Contract.

Well, finally the District Manager of Maryland was contacted and stated that WE WERE WITHIN OUR RIGHT UNDER MD. LAW TO CANCEL WHEN WE DID AND TO CONSIDER THIS DEAL CANCELLED!  Therefore, as of October 27,2022 I,***************************** AM REJECTING ANY OFFER WESTSHORE MAY EXTEND.

      Respectfully,

Sales Rep We had a sales rep come out after we showed interest in updating two of our bathrooms. I showed him the subway tile surround and herringbone style surrounds. We told him we wanted black fixtures in the master bath. He discouraged us selecting black due to the upkeep. He also told us he did not have the two surround choices we wanted. We were forced to select the granite look. We settled. He also told us it was not cost efficient to purchase glass doors through your company and he'd provide the company name he used (which he never did). He also told us to wait on redoing our second bathroom. He said if we call back we would get some top secret deep discount. We explained the purpose of converting to a shower was yo get more foot room.  Install We scheduled the install and were very surprised to see a high wall and narrow pan. It was not what we had discussed with the rep. The install was stopped.  Lack of Follow-up We were told we would receive a call from Westshore on meet steps. We never did. I had to call the office and was told the managers were out. I called the next day and was told the managers would call me at their earliest convenience. Ultimately we went 11 days with a hole in our bathroom. I had to threaten to sue to finally receive a call from Allyson the regional director.  Mislead At this point, we found out you did indeed have the subway tile surround. She made sure to switch this for us. She also added an order for our glass doors.  Missing Parts Once installed, we were told the shower door didn't come with both bars. Every picture we saw has both bars. I have been reaching out to Allyson since 9/2 trying yo get the other bar that was missing. She told me that day she would contact the team to handle it. I followed up again 9/17, 9/20, & 9/22. She finally answered 9/22 she was going to have customer service contact me. I have yet to hear back.  This install has been a fight just to get what we paid for. An ongoing frustration

We have heard ******************'s concerns and sincerely apologize as she definitely received incorrect information. We have addressed this with her at the highest levels of leadership in the company. Our General Manager of Texas personally visited her home to ensure we had a full understanding of what needed to be done to correct all issues, and we have since done so. We also took very serious internal action to address the behaviors of the salesman. When issues like this arise we will always stand by our customers, respond with integrity, and do the right thing.

Account Number **************. Cost $12,691.00 payment of $146.52 is due on the 2nd of every month. Originally was told by **. ***************** a West Shore representative told my wife and I, that it would be completed in one day. They came out and put in the shower March 22, 2022 ;but they cut a pipe in the tube, which also cut the water line the same day and put silicone to cover it up . Then they continued to come back every month to fix something and tear up something new, but did not inform us that they had cut our water pipe under our tube and we had water leaking under our home. Our light bill started to increase every month due to the increase of water leakage and we now have mold damage under our home and on the siding of our home. We had to pay a plumber to come out to inspect the area and pay out of our pockets and thats when we discovered they cut a pipe and water had been leaking from March 22, 2022 until September 12, 2022 when our plumber came out. After discovering we had this leak we called West Shore to inform them that they had cut a pipe and water was leaking under our home and we now had mold were they caused damage for 6 months of water leaking, even though they had been coming every month to fix something in the shower or the tub because it wasn't working. My wife and I have not been able to use the shower/tub since the purchase in March 22, 2022. They also do false advertisement, because we were guaranteed it would only take one day to be completed ; it's been going on almost 7 months soon next month and we still have not been able to use our shower/tub. Due to the mold that has been growing under our home, I have asthma and have been coughing more than normal due to the mold growth, which is not appropriate for my health and well-being.

I signed a contract with ************ in Dec 2021 and made a deposit of more than $6000. I then found out they sold out to Westshore Homes. Since that time, Westshore has not once reached out to me. I had one gentleman that would update me when I called but he has now left. My last update from him was weeks ago and he informed me at that time that all of the HOA issues we had with installing the windows and a knee wall had been resolved and installation would be able to be scheduled in a few weeks. Since that time I have not been able to get anyone from Westshore to even speak tome. I have called and emailed with no response. I called Thursday 4 times using the Customer Service number and 3 times they left me on hold and never came back and the fourth time the customer service rep told me she would have a manager call me, which is the 5th time I had been told that in the last few weeks and I have never had a returned call. It is clearly apparent that Westshore has no interest in take care of their customers and clearly not interested in installing the windows I have been waiting 9 months for. I am not sure how this company has an A rating with BBB with the way they handle their customers.

We sincerely apologize to ************** for her frustrating experience. When we acquired Stormfitter we discovered many of their jobs were sold and designed extremely incorrectly. We have been working diligently to overcome these errors by ***********, and are now in a place where we can begin to install these projects in a way that meets West Shore Home standards. It has taken tremendous effort and time to put the pieces in place to be able to install these projects, but we did not want to install anything for a West Shore Home customer that would be anything less than perfect. At West Shore Home we pride ourselves on the experience we provide to our customers. We own the fact that we did not communicate with ************** as much as we should have and we will correct that immediately.

The company won’t honor the contract for making repairs. Right after we did a contract, they changed names and another company took over. Now they say they will not honor the agreement and want to charge us for repairs. They are essentially the same company and do the same work, they just changed the name. They still have my contract on file. They went from New Bath to West Shore Homes right in the middle of our work.

on or around 8-17-22, I contracted with sales rep on a laptop to get a shower redone. I received no copy of contract. so everything was just "explained to me verbally". On 8-25-22 I received devasting news about my health. after discussing my misfortune with my 82 year old husband, we decided to cancel the contract with westshore. On 9-9-22 a different rep came to inform me that I was still liable for 35% of the contracted price. I was flabbergasted to say the least. This is the first time I had ever been told of the 3 day clause to cancel. I have dealt with weatshore in the past and never told of that clause.

We certainly understand ******************'s position, but her statements are not accurate. We offered to cancel ********************'s contract with absolutely no penalties if she would provide proof that she was ill. At that point she became hostile and refused to provide proof, or communicate with us any further. We have already had all of the custom made products for ******************'s project made at considerable expense to us. At West Shore Home we pride ourselves on integrity and we are still willing to cancel *****************'s contract with no penalties if she is willing to provide proof that she is ill.

****************** cancelled her project well outside of the cancellation period clearly outlined in her contract. We are upholding the terms of the contract to recoup the money we have already spent to make her custom materials for her project. Should ****************** decide to continue with her project we would be more than happy to proceed.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

it refuses to cancel this order and threatening to seek payment while practicing horrible customer service.

I want it publicly noted that any senior citizen should be "Buyer Beware" of this company.  Their practices and lack of good customer service should be advertised.  I will make it my personal mission . while I am on this earth, to make sure no other person is abused by this company. I also hope the BBB refuses to give this company a good rating, as it does not deserve it.

      Regards,
