I started my dental extractions in 2022, my dental insurance covered the entire cost of extractions. I was told that I would have to pay $2000, for my dentures even with the dental insurance. I paid $2000 at the time thinking that would be my cost. My healing process took a year Then I had a *********** on top and bottom gums to carve bone down. I was given a patient treatment report on 05/24/23. At that time I was told I would have a credit of $1030.00 since my insurance covered most of the bill by the billing person in office. She came to me and told me I would be getting this credit back. The bill I was given was for 1,727.58 for dentures and *********** my insurance paid $$929.84. So I should have received a credit of at least $797.74 instead they send me a refund check of $232.26, with no itemized bill other then the patient report I received. When I called to get an explanation now they are saying the total charge was more. They say that the refund comes out of they North Caroline office. And that is the correct amount of my refund. I don't understand if my bill was for $1727.58 and my insurance paid $797.74. Why did they have me pay a total of $1768.00. That would be the entire amount of the bill plus the amount of the insurance payment of $929.84.

I had a root canal done. When I was consulted prior to the procedure, I was told how much my insurance would cover and how much I would be responsible for. I paid what I was responsible for and the office was to bill my dental insurance for the amount that was covered. I since moved out of state and changed jobs. I got a phone call a few months ago from a debt collector trying to collect the amount that the office was supposed to bill my insurance at the time. As it turns out, someone in the office failed to do their job and bill the insurance company appropriately and in a timely matter. I never received any notice, or any bills for this. Just a phone call from a debt collector over a year after the procedure. I no longer work for the employee that I had the dental coverage through. Someone failed to do their job at the office. I should not be on the hook for someone elses mistake.
