  Terrible misleading experience with over 24 hours wait for service for towing across 6 different tow companies. **************** was kind but the outcome was always the same, no tow company showing up. It required an escalation. And then they promised reimbursement, and then *** ******* denied it.

  Very terrible customer service response in a dire roadside assistance need.On 8/2, vehicle broke down on the road with occupants @ 7:00 am. Wouldn't re-start, jumping battery unsuccessful. Placed roadside assist call after safely loading, relocating occupants. One driver at vehicle with Membership credentials. No call, No Show for 6 hours! Made 6 lengthy calls to AAA Lancaster. No use. I was told membership cancelled (untrue) working on it, finally @ 11 am dispatch told me initial call REFUSED!! They told me leave key under mat. At 2PM, I arranged another Private tow. At 10:30 PM they texted, called: "We are at car"-REALLY? I have been AAA member going on 30 years. NO MORE. I have never seen or experienced Anything like this, AAA

  I lost my job, and wasn't able to renew my AAA driving protection coverage by its end date of May 31st. I was not enrolled in Auto-Renew. I was able to renew in late July. Come to find out that my new membership term only goes until May 31st of next year. What about the other two months? Nope! I find this unethical. When I spoke politely about it to my local AAA CSR, she had no answer, and said that is the way it is. Now I wonder what other ways AAA finds to short people. I will be looking at other roadside assistance options.

  I wish there were a way to give 0 stars. As others have indicated, I had problems cancelling. In fact, Central Penn AAA charged me after I had already cancelled, and when I didn't find out for a year (when they called because my card that had been on file no longer existed), they blamed me for the charge and refused to refund - but only after I had called 5 times over 2 months, spent hours on the phone, and was told by everyone but the fifth person that they were escalating my request and that someone would get back to me in 7-10 business days... which never happened. Then, the fifth customer "service" rep told me that it had been 14 months since the charge and they have a policy of no refunds after 30 days from the charge. No one previously had told me this, wasting hours of my life and many a day of heightened blood pressure from how rude people had been to me, and nonetheless, it is still their fault for charging me AFTER I had already cancelled.
  
  Beware of Central PA AAA. I've had excellent experience with other AAA branches, but this one was a nightmare.

  Renew annually as birthday present for adult son using credit card. Son receives communication from AAA that there is problem with credit card. Call AAA Central Penn Paxton Church Rd. Long wait for someone to answer phone. Explain problem. Employee couldn't tell me rejection code or the number of the credit card, only last four digits. Call credit card company. No problems on their end They state it is a Merchant problem and to contact them and have them resubmit. Call AAA Central Penn. Long wait again. Asked employee to write down card number and resubmit. He refused to do it

  My subscription renewed automatically. That's wasn't the problem. When I called to cancel I got delay, after delay after delay. "We can't refund on the same day it was charged." "You have to call back after 9." On hold for 30 minutes, etc. etc. etc. The refund process is obviously designed specifically to make it extremely difficult to cancel your subscription. I would definitely NOT consent to automatic renewal.
