    Wish I could give them 0 stars. Disgusting company, withholding my proceeds from sales for over 6 months, no reply when reaching out to customer service, no response to any help request, nothing. Over $1,600 stuck on my account with no sign of any chance to withdraw. Lost tons of stuff I sold and never gonna get paid for it by the looks of it... BBB complaint did not help either.

    I purchased a bottle of perfume from a seller for about $120 (with tax and shipping it came to nearly $150). The bottle arrived 99% empty with a foul smelling perfume that has clearly spoiled. The day it arrived, I submitted photos and a request for a refund. They keep asking for additional photos and this clearly will lead nowhere. Interesting to note that before you can submit a claim you must assure them that you have not submitted a review of the seller. If you had, you have somehow forfeited your right to a claim. Mercari is a scam. I imagine it will eventually close. My advice to you- DO NOT buy anything there. Its a scam.

    I bought a purse from a person on Mercari and there was a delivery issue that *** sided with me saying that I will be reimbursed. *** sent Mercari the refund to then pass it on to me. Mercari never gave me the refund and never responded to ANY of my multiple messages including proof from *** that I should receive the refund. So Mercari kept my money, so I'm out the purse AND my refund money. I've been a seller for years on Mercari and never experienced any issues until this. This whole issue is over a $28 refund, It makes no sense and not once did they respond to any of my messages concerning this issue. Definitely not good business.

    Zero star rating ZERO STAR RATING ************* ever on this planet they will have sellers rip you off and won't refund if something is wrong with your purchase so take head to this warning DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BUY OR SELL ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. Should be illegal for them to even have commercials on TV to rip off alot of consumers

    I Absolutely agree with the rest reviews Beacuse I have paid for a bulid a bear pumpkin cat and they took the money then all of the sudden they refunded me saying that the sellers backed out of the deal I recommend not to buy from this site because they are a bunch of Liars do not buy from this site

    It would be no star if possible. I been trying to get answers about a product and asked if there was a number to contact someone to ask and i get a sarcastic reply about deleting my message And i asked how was i supposed to get the answers i needed and i get another smart ass reply from them over and over about 10 times “do you understand?” I understand the security part but they didn’t have to be such an ass about it.
    Very unprofessional !!

    I placed an order through Mercari for Zum Face 4 oz Lemongrass Sugar Facial Scrub. It was listed as "new." The order was delivered to my office building on Friday, but I did not actually have the item in hand till Monday. As three days had passed from delivery to my actually opening the item, Mercari considered the sale complete and released the funds to the seller. But when I opened the package, the bubble wrap was sticky and actually dirty with brown spots and one large brown spot about the size of a nickel. The jar itself was unsealed, sticky (this is a sugar scrub), and it looked like half the product was gone; it didn't look like the bottle leaked, just that half of it was used. I contacted the Mercari seller through their website and was offered another jar or a refund. I asked for a refund as I did not want to take a chance on receiving another used jar. However when one was not forthcoming, I emailed Mercari
    and did get a response fairly quickly. But the response I got was that because 3 days had passed, they considered the case closed and would not reimburse me because they paid the seller. I explained that it came to my office on Friday, but not to me until Monday, but that did not matter to them. Strict 3-day rule. Instead of investigating the seller for selling used product as new, they just said too bad, our hands are tied. The bottom line from my vantagepoint is that Mercari allows sellers to sell dirty, used products as new. Buyer beware!

    I got ripped off ! I ordered a 32 oz box of alpo variety snaps for my dogs. I got a 16 OZ box !!! No way would I pay a total of $33 for such a small box !!! I chatted with Brittany Ermer and she insisted that I bought the 16 oz...sorry but that's b.s. I'm infuriated !!!! I would NEVER use Mercari and their sellers EVER AGAIN.

    The carrier damaged the item I purchased. It wasn’t the seller’s fault and when you rate/accept the product, you are rating the seller, not the carrier. I accepted the product thinking Mercari would file a claim since the damage to the shipping box clearly proves the damage was due to the carrier’s handling. They refused because I rated the seller. This is crazy since the seller and carrier are two different things. Why hold the seller responsible and prevent them from receiving their money if the carrier is the one responsible for damages? Ridiculous that they want to cheat both the seller and the buyer because of when the carrier did. Poor customer service.

    Purchased Air Pod Pro’s but received a knock off version that stopped working within 3 days. Apple offered to warranty the product “like any reputable company would” but had trouble with serial# so I had to go to an Apple Store. The helpful employees showed me the difference between the trash I purchased and the actual Air Pod Pros. Mercari refused to help in any way at all and blamed me for the situation. They said I should not have given a review as soon as I did but never mentioned the fact they blasted me with emails to give a seller review promptly even though the didn’t fail for several days. In the end their solution was to suspend my account for “violating the terms of service” while the seller was never reprimanded and continued to offer what I presume was more counterfeit Air Pods Pros
