Theyre denying my SCRA benefits that I am LEGALLY supposed to have. Ive contact my states Attorney General and filed a complaint. This company does not follow federal/state laws.

I have my student loans through AES. Life happened and I got behind. They called and initially seemed fair and started they would send out paperwork for a short forbearance and I would then start paying again. It's been 5 weeks and still no paperwork. They continue to call and everytime they state the paperwork has been sent out. They're on the ball and calling me as soon as I'm just a couple days late on a payment, but can't send out paperwork. I don't have access to a printer. The library in town is rarely an option for to my work schedule and where I work. There is no Staples or OfficeMax anywhere close to where I live. And that's why I asked specifically for it to be snail mailed at the beginning. Here I am, 5 weeks later, they're still calling for their money and I still don't have the paperwork.

AES was servicing my student loans that had been on autopay for nearly a decade. There was a bank error one month making my loans "ineligible" to be on autopay with them. This was a policy they setup, not me or my bank. Originally they provided an option to schedule payments up to six months in advance which was recommended by one of their customer ******************** agents, then they stopped and made it only up to 30 days in advance. After missing one month, I was told that one of my banks wanted to default and get all of their money paid so I couldn't make my monthly payment any longer. I use autopay on all of my payments to avoid issues like this and have no problem and had an otherwise great credit score. It is my belief that AES is setting up a system to intentionally cause their clients to default on these loans so their bank can force an immediate payment in full. This practice should be investigated by the regulation authorities ASAP. This has impacted my credit score which and is impacting both my personal life and business.

I am the cosigner on a loan held by AES, and they have been a nightmare to work with. After more than 2 years, I have been unable to create an online account. Have faced myriad excuses but I still can’t access an online statement or pay online. Mail statements are also really unreliable. Since I can’t consistently access my account, it’s easy to fall behind on payment or miss due dates. If you have a choice DO NOT USE aes.
