    North Penn Tax has been filing my US IT Return for the last 4 years. For Financial Year 2023 I submitted the documentation on 10-Apr-2024. I go acknowledgement on email that the Tax Return was being reviewed and than an extension will be filed. I have been following up over email, phone and other options to no response. I got a note in June that they will revert but have not gone any response. However, the return has not been filed for 4 months and the documentation noting the extension is also missing from the customer portal.

    I hired ************** to complete tax returns for 2022 for me personally and my two businesses on February 3, 2023. I gave ************** an $800.00 retainer. ************** never completed any of my returns and has given me months of excuses. He said the returns were completed in July but I never received them. He continues to tell me they're completed but I never receive them and he continues to give me excuses why he skips our planned meetings. At this point I haven't even seen evidence that he has performed any of the work, filed appropriate extensions. I decided to revoke his access to our accounting software because there was no evidence he ever even logged in. This was after he told me for the 6th time I would have my returns by the end of the week. Turns out he needed the access because he didn't complete the work. Now I have no returns, don't know how to do this myself and am wondering what type of penalties and interest I may be accruing at this point. I have hired an attorney and we have filed a civil complaint against him.
